Welcome to our tranquil, sunny, cozy space in the beautiful Eldorado Springs Valley, just minutes south of Boulder. Gorgeous views and nature surround you, from horses in the pasture next door to the local wildlife, such as deer, fox, and owl.
This special place has its own unique character and all the comforts of home. It is private and very quiet at night. You can see the stars.
The kitchen space has a lovely view as well as a small gas stove/oven, fridge, microwave, and other kitchen supplies. The bedroom has a queen pillow top bed, dresser, cable TV, DVD player, and a large picture window. The bathroom is new construction and quite spacious for a small space. A living room area has a comfortable, full size sofa sleeper, and a small desk. Wireless internet access, with a small patio and parking right in front.
We also have another listing on the property, the awesome blacksmith shop. It's a fun, relaxed place to stay.
A fantastic trail system is just minutes away. Enjoy hiking, running, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, depending on the season. Two miles down the road from here is Eldorado Canyon, which features Eldorado State Park where hiking, world class rock climbing and scenic vistas happen. Also located in the canyon is the Eldorado Springs Pool, a wonderful artesian spring fed pool, so refreshing and fun in the summertime. Downtown Boulder seems a world away, although it is actually a 5-10 minute drive. There are bike paths all the way into town.
We are both artists and our home and studio are on the property. Feel free to come by anytime during your stay to chat and visit. We know a lot about the area and can help with ideas about things to do. We'd love to have you as our guests!
The abode was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for me and my fiancee. We shared coffee at the table in the morning, and the new couch that Susan put in was comfortable to sit and chat and rest too. Susan was prompt with getting back to me whenever we needed something, and also followed with us on some jewelry we thought we had lost! Would definitely like to stay here again.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
First and foremost, Tom and Susan responded immediately to any concerns we had. One night, the big winds that tunnel through Eldorado Canyon made our gutter come loose and it knocked on the window during the night. It was fixed first thing the next day. The Abode is small but cozy. Couch and chair in living room have lost firmness (like many of us that age) and so weren't real functional to use. Bed very, very nice. Shower a bit cozy for my man. Overall artistic charm. Location can't be beat if you are looking to have a little quiet from the Boulder frenzy--the Mesa Trail is nearby, as is a nice hike in Eldorado Canyon. Worth the price and you can be sure that your host/hostess will take care of your needs.
Susan responded incredibly quickly to my pre-book questions and confirmed the booking at once. The apartment was cute and in a great location, just a few minutes from all the great stuff in Boulder. It was just as described, a great value, and we were totally satisfied.
Fantastic experience, thank you! Interior was exactly as described. Quaint, beautiful, surrounded by beautiful art and on the outdoors, by beautiful view. Super-close to amazing hiking trails. Found some coffee and tea and a few other snacks available.
A magical abode in an equally enchanting location! We were walking distance from hiking trails and still reasonably close to the action in Boulder. They did a good job preparing for guests with a binder full of nearby restaurant menus, trail maps, and other local attractions.
Susan and Tom are both artists and their talents show through in this space: Susan's art decorates the walls and tabletops while Tom's pottery doubles as the kitchen earthenware. I'm happy we found time to check out their studio across the lot and visit with Tom before driving on. They have really created a perfect place to unwind and reflect and we are so grateful to have found this spot!
My husband and I stayed in the "Abode" for six nights from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve while visiting my daughter who lives in South Boulder. We came in late, after dark. In the morning, we opening the shades to a spectacular view of the mountains. It snowed one night and the next morning, everything was dusted with snow. The Abode was cozy and perfectly located. We could hike up the trails a short distance from the house or scoot into town. Susan and her husband were great. My husband inadvertently left a few things behind (including a present intended for his boss) and they graciously and quickly mailed them off to us. Would absolutely stay there again.
This is the perfect place for people needing Boulder ABNB accommodations. It's easy to get to, very close to town, just off the southern edge in a beautiful location. Susan has worked very hard on making her place sparkling and lovely and providing everything anybody could want. She herself is delightful. Wish we could have visited longer! Thanks so much!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute, cozy abode. It had everything we needed and was in the country next to horses and wildlife. Beautiful picture window of the flatirons. We loved the art and Susan was very prompt in her responses to our questions. Thanks Susan!!
Idyllic location! The house has everything you need, is peaceful and a fabulous place to escape and relax. Enjoy!
