I rent Quinta's 2 bedroom penthouse and sublet the one room. Quinta is a wonderful combination of authentic Mexican experience and charming private bed and private bath. Share kitchen with only me - pool with 4 other rooms. Daily maid service. Air. High Speed Internet. Famous bakery in house with German bread, pastries and cinnamon rolls.

The space
I stayed at Quinta for six weeks in 2015 , 9 weeks in 2016 , 10 weeks in 2017 -2019. I rent the entire top floor which is two bedrooms with private baths and a fabulous open air kitchen equipped with everything you need to create your meals and a lovely table to eat them on.

I am renting the second bedroom for $55-$75 a night. In 2020, I will be the Artist-In-Residence for Quinta. I will hold an open studio once a week by appointment. Studio fee charged for supplies. I taught art for 40 years and I am a professor at Bemdiji State University in Minnesota. You can vet me by searching my name Barbara Rogers Bridges.

How to find us from the Airport.
Go out and get a taxi. (especially If you do not speak Spanish). You will need about 300-400 pesos.

Tell them you are going to Quinta Camelinas in Zihuantanejo near the Estacion de Bomberos (the Fire Station). The address is : Río Balsas 2, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero 40894, Mexico but they will probably not know where that is. I have international calling for Canada, the US and Mexico. Dial me at 612 845 0416. Text me when you expect to arrive so I will be here (the gate is locked). It takes about 1/2 hour from the airport once you are on the sidewalk).

Where you’ll be

Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico

Arriving in Zihuatanejo on March 1, 2015 was memorable because my little street, Rio Balsas, was so obscure that even the taxi driver did not know where it was. I learned to tell everyone I lived a block from the Estacion de Bomberos (the fire station). I watched the Bomberos do their morning workout on la playa Madera on my morning walk. What a job the Bomberos have!

NOTE: Quinta is NOT ON THE WATER but is a 10 minute walk away. Quinta is in a real Mexican neighborhood with roosters and dogs and kids right outside the gate.

I am a professor in Minnesota where I rent my apartment when I am in Maine. I am a Maine native who still owns a large beach front cottage (which I rent so I can keep it!). I also rent my studio apartment "The Nest" in MAine - with studio privileges. I am a sculptor. See (Website hidden by Airbnb) to learn more.

During your stay

Quinta Camelinas is in the perfect location, a five minute walk to town, a 10 minute walk to La Ropa (a beautiful beach with rolling waves) and located in a real Mexican neighborhood with a cacophony of roosters to waken me and a fully stocked tienda ½ a block away. The tienda is like an old style general store with everything, and I mean everything, you could possibly need. At Quinta, Natasha has created a most wonderful combination of authentic Mexican experience and lovely oasis. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the little pool when I arrived home soaked to the skin from my latest adventure. The fully equipped kitchen and the daily maid service combine to make everything stress free.
