About this listing
Our Guest House is at the end of a cul de sac on a one acre paradise with beautifully designed gardens in Montecito. We are less than a mile to the ocean, close to both upper and lower Mont villages hiking trails and 10 min. to Santa Barbara.
Our Mission style cottage is truly unique. Located 3/4 of a mile from the ocean, the 700 square foot cottage has a lovely living room with gas/wood burning fireplace, spacious full kitchen, cozy bedroom and full bath. Access to shopping, restaurants, the beach and hiking trails make this the perfect semi-rural getaway. The cottage has all the modern amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV, DVD,wi-fi, cd player. There is a large patio off of the living room french doors which overlooks the garden and lawn. On the patio there is a relaxing hammock, table and chairs and bbq.
Guests have access to entire cottage and patio. There is also a ping pong table on a second patio that you are welcome to enjoy.
Interaction with guests
We live in the main house on the 1 acre property. You will have complete privacy but we are also available to share local favorite spots, restaurants, etc. We both have lived in the area over 30 years and are a wealth of information.
Our neighborhood is a quiet, friendly, family neighborhood. We love not only the beauty of the neighborhood but that it feels quiet and peaceful, while being close to restaurants, stores, the mountains, the beach, and downtown Santa Barbara.
Most people prefer a car when visiting Montecito and Santa Barbara, though it is possible to take the bus or ride your bike. There is an off street private parking area right next to the cottage.
Other things to note
Originally built as an artist studio/guest house, there are lots of beautiful touches.
No smoking, no pets. This is a quiet neighborhood, so no loud music.
