Forbes just named our town, Kapaa as one of the 15 prettiest towns in America.
In the Aug. 16 photo gallery posted on the Forbes Magazine website, Kapaa is described as having “a small-town Polynesian paradise quality that feels much more connected to the island’s past,” that is “unlike the high-rise strewn beaches that line so many of Hawaii’s stretches of coast.”
“It’s a very Hawaiian town with traditional ukulele makers and fish taco trucks parked under the palm trees.” Evans wrote. “It’s a small town with a lot of Hawaiian life, minus the tourist fray.”
We had very quiet and relaxing days on Kauai. The location of the House is very nice. Countryside but still close to everything and central. The room was very nice and had a good size. We even enjoyed almost a full day in our room because of the weather and a hike on the day before... It was very nice and we will go back to Cyndie when we are on the island again. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay with Cyndie and Doug. Their home is located near Kapa'a and is perfectly central to exploring the north and south of the island (a car is necessary to reach their property). The grounds are beautiful and a joy to look at over a morning coffee (generously provided) on your private balcony. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay and some unexpected extras like beach equipment. The amenities are as described and the wifi was flawless and fast. Cyndie and Doug are wonderful hosts and we would not hesitate to book with them again.
This airbnb was just what was promised. Beside the room, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand mats were all provided. Cyndie was there when we arrived, gracious and welcoming. This is a most excellent place to stay in Kapaa for any length of time. We had rain, but that did not dampen our spirits one bit. We loved where we stayed; we loved Kauai; we loved Auntie Cyndie! A wonderful place to stay and enjoy the island.
Cindy and her husband are great hosts. They know much aubout the island and have answers to all of your questions. The place is perfect located to explore all the magnificant sights of kauai. They have a nice garden and they share some fresh fruits with you. It is a nice and quiet area.
This was a great place to stay while we explored the island. It was centrally located between Poipu and Hanalei. The room was clean, spacious and I enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the morning drinking coffee, which was provided. The grounds are well maintained and clean. I feel fortunate to have found this place. It was nice having our own entrance and bath. The hosts and other guests were respectful.
We loved our 18 day stay with Cyndie! She is kind, friendly, and generous. The room had everything we needed. It was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We loved how it overlooked the valley and out towards the ocean. Beautiful 2.5 acre property! Can't wait to come back to Kauai again!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Cyndie's for about four days. She was really communicative and responsive to my emails and questions. The room was clean and the view was beautiful. The drive up can be a bit daunting at first (especially at night), but you get used to it. Cyndie checked us in on time and left us alone for the rest of the days there. It was the perfect place for us to complete our Hawaii trip. Thanks, Cyndie.
Excellent location and service. I higly recommend this place. This place was our 3rd experience with Airbnb and the only place that provided white bedsheets and white bathroom towels. Cindie's service stood out.
This private room was very delightful. We woke up to the sun rising every morning, and it was just amazing. We kept the windows and door open at night to let the ocean breeze in, but there was also a ceiling fan to keep you cool. The private bathroom was nice (really strong water pressure!). Cyndie was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. She introduced us to the tropical fruit lilikoi and we are eternally grateful! Thanks Cyndie!
I am very pleased with my stay the room and accommodations were very nice very private quiet and and clean I highly recommend it.
