  • The cottage was exactly as listed. I didn't get to see Kathryn, as my schedule while in Fort Worth was quite a busy one. However, due to the pictures, and the description of the listing, I was able to get in, and around the cottage very easily. Kathryn was very responsive, and kind!

  • Kathy is so nice and sweet. The cottage was exactly what we expected based on the pictures that were provided and Kathy added in some extra touches that were so thoughtful and really made us enjoy the place even more. The neighborhood was very nice and it really is very close to everything so we really enjoyed our time visiting and the place we stayed.

    Thank you Kathy!!

  • Cathy was there to greet us when we arrived and she was very gracious and was helpful with directions to some of the local areas of interest. Her cottage is very comfortable and her garden was very relaxing. The bed is very comfortable as reported. She had a nice bottle of wine awaiting us when we arrived. The location was great for visiting the Art's District area and stock yards were not really that far away. Magnolia Street offered good dining and bars with local entertainment. We had a wonderful weekend and I am sure we will return again!

  • We really loved staying in this charming little cottage. It was very peaceful and private. The bed was super comfy and the cottage had everything that we needed plus a few extras thrown in. You can't really ask for more than that. Thanks Katherine for your prompt communication and relaxed style of hosting!

  • The cottage was exactly as described. If you are looking for a pristine place, reserve a hotel. However, if you are looking for something rustic and quiet to kick start your creativity or inspiration, this is the place for you. Kathryn was very pleasant and responsive to our needs. She left a bottle of wine, some snacks, and information on places to see in the DFW area. We enjoyed our time in this cottage.

  • Kathy was very easy to get in contact and communicate with. The area is very nice and the stay very comfortable! The day I arrived it was raining heavily, and she even had an umbrella and poncho ready for me to use during my stay. I definitely will go again if in Ft. Worth!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kathryn's Cottage. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and stocked with amenities, both practical and whimsical, like a full fridge, TV, stereo and a great library. Kathryn is an artist and the French doors open into a courtyard that was built with loving care and a keen sense of aesthetics. I'd pay good money just to sip my morning coffee and luxuriate in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. Flowers, sculptures, trellises, raised beds, benches, tables, trees and a fire pit for cool evenings. My only regret is that due to my busy schedule with the wedding events I was in town for I didn't get to spend enough time visiting with Kathryn. She is a delightfully interesting and kind soul who enjoys exchanging pleasantries. Yet she gave me enough space during my hurried comings and goings that it seemed as if the entire cottage and courtyard where mine and mine alone.

The neighborhood is very nice and a blast to walk through with incredible early 1900s craftsman style homes, both frame and brick, with big airy porches and lots of old trees. It's about a 10 minute walk along these quiet tree-line neighborhood streets to the coffee shops, cafe's, restaurants, shops and watering holes on bustling Magnolia Street.
