This was my first experience with Airbnb, and Kathryn might have spoiled me for all the rest. She was a wonderful hostess, gracious and kind. She was able to provide us with information about the surrounding area, which lead to a lovely stay. The cottage was exactly as promised, charming and just perfect for our needs. And, my daughter and I both commented on how comfortable the bed was. Thank you Kathryn for a perfect spot for a perfect weekend.
We have stayed in Kathryn's cottage 3 times and she makes it nicer each time. This last visit she had decorated it for Christmas.
Thanks, Kathryn for your warm hospitality!
Kathryn is really sweet and super friendly (and her dog Nick is too!)! The cottage is an excellent spot to relax (a bottle of wine even was there for us to enjoy and unwind with!). BEWARE - the bed she has in the cottage is soooo comfortable you will NEVER want to get out of it. All the pillows and blankets make you feel as though you are resting and a cloud (no joke). A high-high-high recommendation to stay at her place if you find yourself in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Oh, if you do stay here you MUST go to the Fort Worth Zoo which is so close to her place (it is the most spectacular zoo I have ever been too). That's it! Stay at this fantastic cottage and explore all that Fort Worth and Dallas has to offer.
Kathryn's cottage was lovely! She welcomed us with a bottle of wine, it was comfy and cosy and she recommended a great little nearby street for dinner
We stayed for a second time in Kathryn's cottage. She improves it each time we stay. It is a great location and a lovely nieghborhood.
My husband and I spent the weekend here to celebrate our one year anniversary. Kathryn was a wonderful host with a beautiful home. We had fun looking at the historical houses in the area and checking out the many restaurants on Magnolia Ave. (We ate at Ellerbe Fine Foods and definitely recommend going there for a special occasion!) Kathryn lives minutes away from all of the places you would want to go in the city.
The cottage itself was cute and cozy, and we felt at home right away. Kathryn left us a bottle of wine and a refrigerator full of bottled water. It unfortunately rained during our stay, but the little garden area would be a great place to hang out and drink some beer when the weather is nice. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy Fort Worth.
We enjoyed Kathryn's cottage very much, and we will definitely return when we have the chance. It was a cozy, comfortable, and quiet break from a busy Parents' weekend at TCU. The cottage is close to campus and to I-30, but it is in a lovely neighborhood removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did not get to meet Kathryn, but she anticipated our needs and had a well-appointed cottage in her garden. Thanks, Kathryn!
Kathryn is a truly lovely host. She was very good at getting back to me promptly with any queries we had and very helpful when we needed her. The little annex is in her back garden but is very peaceful and private. The apartment is centrally located and only a couple of miles from Fort Worth. Overall great stay, thanks Kathryn!
As a former Air BnB host, me and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Kathryn as she really takes the spirit of what makes traveling like a human so great. She was pro-active on communication, worked with us arrival and departure time and besides the huge bottle of Red Wine for us to enjoy in the cottage along with a handwritten note, Kathryn invited us up to the house for a bottle of Prosecco to laugh, share stories and give us insights on the neighborhood.
The place itself, is as advertised, super cozy bed, cozy sitting area and decorated with a designers; cozy, funky and comfortable. My partner loved the garden in the morning time---and we were six blocks from all the best homegrown restaurants in town (Try Mama Mia, or book well ahead for Ellerbe's and Ol' South Family Diner anytime of day). We will definitely book here again when in Ft (website hidden): Kathryn's dog is a sweetheart.
I spent 4 days in Ft. Worth moving my daughter into her dorm at TCU and it was so nice to come home each night tired and exhausted to this beautiful little cottage. Only 5 mins from campus! Kathy knew I was driving all the way from South Carolina and she left a bottle of wine on the the cocktail table for me, stocked the refrigerator and freezer for me and had delicious snacks set out in the kitchen. My daughter came over one night for popcorn and movies! I will definitely stay here again when I come back to visit my daughter!
