I have a spare comfortable double room in a cosy two bedroom modern furnished flat in Newington Green on the Hackney / Islington border, North East London. It has good transport connections to Central London and the local area has lots of attractions too.
The nearby green has some very nice restaurants, bars and cafes so you will never be stuck for any where to dine out. Hip Dalston is about five minutes walk so there are plenty of clubs and bars if music is your thing. The flat is also close to Stoke Newington which is popular for its village feel and has many pubs, restaurants and boutique shops.
Travel: Islington and Manor House tube stations are only ten minutes away on the bus and we have two local tube stations on the London Overground line at Canonbury and Dalston, which will connect to many of London's major attractions very easily.
Please note I live on the fifth floor and there is no lift. Always happy to help with bags so it shouldn't be a problem.

Simon's house has proved to be perfect solution for a stay in London for one week. He (email hidden), the room is spacious and comfortable and the house is in a very nice area, quiet and convenient for visiting the city and close to the Business Design Centre where we worked. If we'll return to London, we would like to stay by him again. Highly recommended!

Everything was fine. The appartment is really nice, the location fantastic and Simon very friendly and caring.
It was a very uncomplicated and pleasant stay for me. Basically I needed just a place to sleep and a bath. But I could also have used the kitchen and balcony. Almost didn`t meet Simon. Just for the keys and the last night before I left, it turned out though I am almost 20 years older that we had a kind of the same taste of music. Very relaxed and friendly all together. Even save with three locks (gate , house and flat) in case one want to leave behind some expensive things. Good Bus connections,too.

Simon (email hidden) for my month stay in London. He is an extremely friendly guy who enjoys good conversation, and during my stay the flat felt like home. It is in a great location, with easy access to the City of London and Kings Cross/Westminster by bus and close proximity to London Overground. The street is calm yet very close to Newington Green and Kingsland High St. Perfect for being close to the bustle of Central London while being able to get a break from it after a long day of wandering. I would very highly recommend staying here!
I was ok and perfect. in simon's house. He is very kind an gentle, he let me use his phone when my phone and computer were broke out.
Simon (email hidden) and an unbeatable resource for tips about where to eat/drink and go out, not to mention an ideal flatmate: friendly but laid back. The location of the flat is perfect for travelling around London - 5 minutes walk to either Dalston Kingsland or Dalston junction then 20 minutes into central london. Most importantly, it is walking distance from Dalston (an uber-cool part of London to go out at night) as well as the cute vintage shops, pubs and cafes of Stoke Newington. Highly recommend this as an inexpensive and comfortable alternative to a hotel or hostel.
