My apartment is located in the CENTER of Mardi Gras festivities, making it an easy walk to parades, live music concerts and neighborhood events for Carnival Season! The location is truly a god send during this time of year in NOLA! You will NEVER have to fuss with the endless holiday traffic and blocked roadways associated with our Mardi Gras Season!

Airport Shuttle Fare ~ $40.00 also runs periodically to The Marriot Marketplace Hotel on St. Joseph Street, which is directly across the street from my apt building.
Cabs constantly drive down St. Joseph Street and Tchoupitoulas due to the surrounding hotels, conferences at the convention center, and WWII Museum Events. Hailing a taxi is quick and easy!

Like home away from home. Jessica is so nice and inviting and the location is great - quiet, but close to the action.
Jessica was so great! She waited for us and was very understanding even though we were super late and stuck in crazy Mardi Gras traffic and was very sweet. The apartment was adorable, in a great location and very comfortable. It felt like home! Jessica went above and beyond to be helpful, sending recommendations and generally making New Orleans a lot of fun. Staying here was a really enjoyable experience.
The apartment is really cool, and in a great location. Jess is a wonderful host! Very experienced, and the visit went very smoothly.
Jessica was an amazing host. Her place was immaculate and had everything you need for your stay. She was a wealth of information for the area restaurants and sights. If you are looking to stay downtown or near the French Quarter, this is the place you want!
I will never stay in Jessica’s apartment again. I may use airbnb again. Why?:
I am new to Airbnb. After reading about the concept I thought it was a cool idea and booked a place for my marathon run.
We arrived in New Orleans on Friday. Jessica informed us that her “friend” Megan would be meeting us at the building. I am so thankful that we only brought carry on bags as the entrance we were forced to use and the apartment are a good distance apart with a flight of stairs. We were told by Megan to only use that specific entrance (basically the back of the building) and that if anyone questioned us being in the building we were Jessica’s friend. Why? she is not allowed to rent the unit out.
The apartment was cute, although it seemed still very much “lived” in.. empty wine bottles in the kitchen...
We dropped off our stuff and left. We returned at night and we promptly went to sleep... on top of the bed (ie we did not pull back the comforter).
The next morning in the light of day I was better able to get a handle for the apartment. There was a good build up of dust on the furniture, the rug in the living room was dirty and the bathroom was not “hotel clean”. I knew it was someones home so I thought well maybe this is normal. The real shock was when we went to bed that night at 9pm. I was utterly disgusted when I pulled the sheets back... they were dirty. They hadn’t been washed in so long that they smelled of sweat and other people and were stained. We promptly put the comforter back on top and slept on that. 2 of the pillows were missing pillowcases. We tried to sleep as best we could.
This is a noisy place. This is not Jessica’s fault... just poor construction.
We ran the race and left Sunday morning.
Then on Monday, Jessica texted to check in on our stay. I told her about the sheets and that I would not be staying there again.
She called me and apologized and was very concerned. She asked if there was anything she could do to remedy the situation. I responded, “whatever you think is best”. We had already stayed there and even though there were deal breakers, what was done was done. She became upset and explained that she was paying her “friend” Megan to come in and clean and meet guests. She apologized a few times and she offered to reimburse me completely for the stay. I thanked her as I thought that was a very kind gesture.
No refund ever came. I can't write more as Airbnb caps length of reviews.
I cannot in good conscious recommend Jessica’s place to anyone. I hope for her that she finds a better “friend” to manage an apartment that she shouldn’t even be renting out in the first place.
This guest did not report any of this to me until well after her checkout, after I had already positively reviewed her (past my revision grace period), and did not do so through airbnb (through phone text message). To top it off I also noticed very valuable Le Creuset pots missing directly after Natalia's stay.
As a loyal airbnb host, I checked in with her a few times during the weekend and all was great according to her - she even sent me a photo of her enjoying the place. My first reaction of course was to offer a refund immediately. After learning that valuables were missing, considering that she had chosen to only text me so conveniently after her trip was over and not reported this to airbnb within a reasonable time to customer service made me feel like I was being taken advantage of especially since the pots were more valuable than the total value she paid for the reservation. The whole thing seemed suspicious and so I contacted airbnb customer service immediately once I felt uncomfortable from Natalia's stream of phone text messages. Professionally, I decided to let airbnb handle this matter, as I trust this service (and emails with customer service to prove it).
I take pride in my apartment and my guests' experiences (not to mention I'm a nurse with priority of keeping things sanitary)... as you can see by the rest of my reviews which until now have been exceptional. I'm disappointed that my first experience with a guest of this kind of character (one that does not appreciate the concept of airbnb: economical sharing).
Jessica was very friendly and so easy to get along with. She provided so many suggestions on where to go eat, shop, etc. She was also very flexible and was able to meet us at the loft around 9:00pm at night. The only negative I would say was the ability to hear neighbors pretty easily through the walls but that was not Jessica's fault obviously. There were only a couple times we could hear them but it was not a major issue at all.
Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay again when we are back in NOLA.
Stay @ Jess' place. It's the most homey, comfortable, warm, quirky Airbnb I have stayed at. I honestly didn't want to leave, it's truly like a home away from home. The same goes for Jess! So helpful, kind and fun - a new friend! The home is a 4 minute walk to the convention center - a major plus. Also: Best shower pressure! Most comfortable couch! Cozy sleeping nook! Don't hesitate on this home :)
The GF and I came up here for a long weekend and it was amazing. Conveniently located, cool space, and a great view. Would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the hostess? She is awesome.
Everything was excellent. Jessica was a great host and the space was very clean. Would stay there again for sure.
Jessica's place was in the perfect location for whatever you are planning on doing in NOLA! Her place is well kept and she was very informative on things to do in the city. I would highly recommend her place to anyone. We are looking forward to our next trip and stay there. Thanks again Jessica!
