The Bodger's Cabin, a 1968 LGV trailer lovingly converted into a self contained holiday cabin using natural & reclaimed materials to lower its eco footprint. It's name is derived from the traditional craft green woodworking, affectionately known as 'Bodging' that the owners teach on site.
The Cabin is located in the beautiful North Wales countryside and has uninterrupted views of the Snowdonia mountains. The owners live on the 1.6 acre site where they are building their timber framed eco-home.

The space
The Bodgers cabin area has a wood burning stove, (One basket of firewood for the stove is provide FOC in the winter months) a
two ring gas hob, and a sink with cold water tap. Hot water for dish washing and cooking can be boiled on the hob or in the colder seasons on the wood burning stove. A raised platform gives access to a double bed with a hotel standard Hypnos mattress. The Bodgers cabin has a flushing toilet and integral basin for hand washing.
The Bodgers cabin is off grid and generates its own 12v electricity supply, this is for lighting and a couple of USB sockets for you to charge your mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Please note the cabin has no mains electricity. The solar panels also generate enough power for a tiny mini fridge to keep your milk, for the morning brew, cool. Tea, coffee and sugar are also supplied for when you arrive. There is a larger 60 litre fridge in the adjacemnt building for everything else you need to keep cool.

NEW for 2025, a replacement private bathroom has now been installed in an adjacent building. This is a heated space with a second toilet, hand washing basin and Mira mixer shower off a combi boiler in a walk in cubical .
Parking is on the gravel drive about 20 metres away.
4G mobile phone coverage is generally good from most providers.
There is a fire pit available. Fire pit firewood can be purchased on site for £5 a box, this will be donated to the local hospice.
There is a BBQ available. We kindly ask that as 'Bodger's and Charcoal makers', that you buy our charcoal when you arrive to help support rural crafts. Bags are £8 each, card payments or cash is accepted.

Guest access
The cabin is located at the top of a sloping grass site overlooking a newly planted copse of woods and orchard with amazing views of the countryside across to the Snowdonia Mountain Range. There is also a small mature wooded dell with a seasonal spring fed stream that flows from autumn, through the winter, to early spring. The Bodgers Cabin has a outdoor seating area and lawn area for your exclusive use.

Other things to note
By prior arrangement a pick up and collect service is available from either Llansannan or Llangernyw for those guests walking The Pilgrims Way (Wales).

A car is desirable but a local bus does pass several times a day to larger towns (Abergele & Denbigh) about 10 miles away.
You can walk to the nearby villages of Llansannan 1.5 miles away (35 mins) and Llangernyw 2.5 miles away (55 mins) both on a combination of quiet country roads and/or footpaths. Both villages have a pub and a local shop.

There are lots of choices of beaches on the North Wales Coast, our favourite is the quieter resort of Rhos on Sea with its long sandy beach, about 13 miles away (30 mins), ask the host for advice dependant on your needs, so don't forget your bathers.

Yr Wyddfa (also known as Mount Snowdon) is only 27 miles away (45 minutes) so bring your boots if you fancy a good hike!! or get the Snowdonia mountain railway to the top :)

The popular tourist town of Betws-y-Coed, where zip world is, is just 13 miles away (26 min)
