The space
✨ Welcome to Your Bethel Getaway: The Modern Hygge House, Designed by Stay Hygge.
We’ve put a lot of love into this home so that you have everything you need for a memorable Maine adventure. Whether you’re skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, or just relaxing with family and friends, this space is designed for you to feel comfortable, connected, and at home.
There is even a NACS off-peak EV charger for your electric vehicle!
🛏️ Your Bedrooms & Living Space
You’ll have two bedrooms, one with a KING bed and one with a QUEEN bed, each with plush linens, bedside outlets for your devices, and a 50” Smart TV ready for streaming.
In the living room, you can stretch out on the sofa or relax in the chairs while watching the 65” Smart TV. Netflix is provided, and you can log into your own accounts for other services.
The sofa is perfectly positioned so you can enjoy the snowy view in winter or cozy up with a movie night.
For downtime, you’ll also find board games, cards, and yoga mats, perfect for unwinding or staying active.
🍳 Your Kitchen & Dining
If you love to cook, you’ll find a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, spices, cookbooks (including Maine-inspired recipes), and even a fondue pot for fun nights in.
Sit at the live-edge breakfast bar, our favorite spot for sipping coffee, catching up on work, or watching the snow fall.
The dining room seats 6, giving you plenty of space to gather for meals as family and friends.

Enjoy a standard tub/shower combo with a rainfall shower head and a 30” vanity with large mirror.
Please note: the doorway and vanity make this space a little tight, so just something to keep in mind before booking.

While you may hear a little road noise (we’re just off Route 2), you’ll also enjoy unbeatable convenience, and our new insulation and windows help keep the home relatively quiet inside considering the location.
Here’s why you’ll love the location:
- 1 minute to Bethel Village: walk (5–10 mins) or drive (1 min) to restaurants, shops, a small grocery, and the Saturday farmer’s market.
- Hop on the snowmobile trail directly from the property, with plenty of parking for trailers.
- 8 minutes to Sunday River, 10 minutes to Mount Abram: two of Maine’s best ski resorts within easy reach.
- 18 minutes to Grafton Notch State Park & 30 minutes to White Mountain National Forest for hiking and exploring.
- Everyday convenience: CVS next door, Dollar General across the street, and a brand new Rusty Lantern gas station right next door.
- Winter perk: being right on Route 2 means faster access to plowed roads, you’ll be among the first to hit the slopes on a powder day!
Guest access
You'll have access to one half of a duplex (approx. 900 SQFT of living space). The duplex is L shaped so there is only one wall that is shared between the two houses and that is heavily insulated to help limit any noise disturbances.
You have complete access to the "front" house which consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, kitchen, and dining room.
Outside, we have a firepit that accommodates up to 8 guests, but please note it is first come first serve and we have two units on property which means it could be unavailable to use during your stay, or you may need to enjoy the fireplace with other guests. We do not provide firewood.
Other things to note
We want you to have the best stay possible, so here are a few things to be aware of before booking:
- Stairs: There are four steps up to the front door and another small staircase (four steps) from the entry/dining area into the rest of the house.
- Road proximity: The home is located directly off Route 2. This makes it super convenient for getting to Sunday River (you’ll love being on one of the first roads plowed on powder days!), restaurants, and shops. That said, you may notice traffic noise during the day and feel the house rumble when snowplows pass in winter. At night, it’s generally much quieter. We’ve added new insulation and windows to reduce the sound, but please keep in mind some noise is possible.
- Gas station nearby: The property is next to the Rusty Lantern gas station. A tall fence separates the two, but we want you to know about the proximity in advance.
- Snow removal: In winter, while our plow service works hard to keep the driveway clear, we can’t guarantee it will be done first thing in the morning. A shovel is provided if you need to head out before the plow arrives. If a big storm is expected, we appreciate you parking to the side to make plowing easier and to avoid being snowed in.
- Laundry: There is no washer/dryer in the home. The nearest laundromat is only a minute away for easy access.
- EV Charger: The EV Charger is first come first serve and shared with another Airbnb on property.
