It is also a short walk to the Lake's paved bike trail which leads to Sunnyside with its restaurant, its splendid view of the Lake water skiing and boating, Tahoe City less than a mile away with its amazing variety of restaurants, bars and shops, the Truckee River with rafting trips and Squaw Valley all these 5-20 minutes by bike.

The house's location makes it the gateway to the West Shore's unique beauty including: by car in 5 minutes Blackwood canyon with a spectacular hike giving views of Lake Tahoe and Desolation wilderness and then another 5 minutes to Sugar Pine Point one of Lake Tahoe's most beautiful state parks with miles of protected wooded shoreline where you can swim or kayak in the crystal clear water or picnic midst the lawn and trees. At the house's doorstep are adventurous mountain biking trails leading to high altitude meadows with vernal pools.

Practically within the neighborhood is an atmospheric restaurant serving breakfast and lunch with take out called the Tahoe House (a 5 min walk from the house) very warm and friendly with it's own fireplace and killer pastries and coffee for breakfast.

Also there is a brand new beautifully architected transit center just down the road providing bus service to all points on the Lake to Squaw Valley and Truckee.

I do have a special weekly rate for Dec. 22 to Dec 29 and Dec 29 to Jan. 5 of $2200 including cleaning.
