The space

This comfortable ensuite double room is in a modern home set in a quiet and pretty cul de sac very close to the main street, the river walk and the stunning coast line. The accommodation has a most comfortable double bed and ensuite shower room (with an excellent shower!) A lavish breakfast made to meet any requirements is served in the home's kitchen with access to the sunny garden and visitors are welcome to share the sitting room and television with your host. Wifi is also available. The town, 25 miles south of Dublin, has many opportunities for good eating with cafes and restaurants, some specialising in local, homemade or even raw food. Great local walks along the cliffs, and a short drive away are forests, Glendalough and the Wicklow mountains. Boat trips, canoeing, golf, fishing. Good public transport to Dublin and many easy day trips by car to Wexford, Kilkenny, Kildare. Loads to do from here.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to share the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

Interaction with guests

I will always be available to meet guests to establish their needs and help if necessary. After that will depend on what I or the guests are doing at the time. I am usually not far away.

The neighborhood

the house is close to the main street with all its shops, pubs and restaurants, the river and the sea.

Getting around

Driving from the airport is via the M50 and takes just over an hour. There is parking outside the house. We are 5 minutes from the bus stop where there are half hourly buses to Dublin. The railway station, with infrequent trains to Dublin and Wexford, is 15 minute walk away.

Other things to note

Wicklow town is central to a wide region and day trips to Dublin, Kildare, Glendalough, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford etc are easy by car.

Judy's place was perfect for my boyfriend and me while we were in Wicklow visiting my godmother. It's very walkable into town, so if you want to go into the pub for a drink and something to eat you don't have to worry about taking your car, and there's parking right in front of the house! Judy was very helpful in suggesting places to go, and providing maps for us to get there. Not only was her breakfast great, but she was also very helpful with lending us a phone charger when ours didn't work, and letting us print our boarding passes when Ryanair didn't provide us with electronic ones. And her cat is adorable! Would definitely recommend Judy's place to people looking to stay in Wicklow.

Cute town near Dublin. Host is friendly and good for suggestions. Private Street but reasonable walking distance to main area of town. Perfect for one or two people. En suite bathroom was helpful to have.

We loved the neighbourhood, quiet, peaceful, near the seaside and a half hour drive from the gorgeous Glendalough mountains and lakes. Judy was welcoming, gracious and incredibly hospitable, the breakfasts she prepared and served us every morning were delicious and full of TLC , and best of all we enjoyed the fantastic chats with Judy around the breakfast table. There was a great level of interaction as we had plenty of privacy but also got to know Judy for the friendly, lovely host that she is. The ensuite double room was beautifully furnished, clean and cosy. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway !!

Judy was a fantastic host, and looked after all our needs, even though she had to attend a number of important meetings.

I've been living in Wicklow for over twenty years and love the life here. Plenty of brilliant walks and an abundance of good music that can be enjoyed in small venues.
