We absolutely loved our stay during Christmas at Sophie's beautiful appartment.
Even though we didnt meet, a warm welcome awaited us, with Paris books, a nice bottle of wine, candles and dogbiscuits!!
I love Montmartre and her place is in a nice neighbourhood with lots of shops and restaurants, AND few minutes away from the metro and the Sacre Coeur!
Nothing but good things to say about our host, her charming cute appartment (with everything you need, including a wonderful bed and bathroom with a tub) and the neighbourhood she's in, we will definately return. Again, many thanks for making our last Christmas with the 3 of us a memorable one!
This was our first time to Paris, and my husband and I loved our stay here. The apartment itself was a little difficult to find, as it wasn't in the heart of "touristy" Paris. But it was right behind the Sacre Coer and a metro station/walk away from Moulin Rouge, an extremely interesting and equally fun side to Paris. Matahari was really friendly and hospitable. She equipped us with all the information for our stay and getting about Paris.
The apartment itself exceeded my expectations. Was really pretty and cozy and really felt like a home away from home. The 2 most important things - the bed and the bathroom were great, to say the least. If you are good to do a little bit of travelling and changing tubes to reach home, this is definitely the place for you. My only grouse is Montmatre by night (post 12.30), it didn't seem all that safe to be walking on the streets. There is one metro station that is just up the road from Matahari's place (Green Line 12, Lamarack Culaincourt I think) that's just a minute's walk from her place, and involves a lot less walking which I would recommend to reach her place . Overall we had a great stay and I would highly recommend it! Thanks for everything Matahari.
Sophie is such a sweet gal, she was very welcoming and her flat was really nice. It was an awesome location to spend a week and to explore Paris from. The metro was close, restaurants, grocery, and boulangerie all nearby. Warm pastries and fruit for breakfast each morning. We were very comfortable there. Highly recommendedonly regret was not being able to spend time to visit with Sophie longer. She is a really nice person with a remarkable personality and world view.
Merci beau coup!
Sophie is warm en welcoming host.
The flat in Montmartre was charming in a wonderful surroundings.
I had the best holiday in beautiful Paris thanks to Sophie and the information she provided about the area.
I can recommend this place to anyone.

It was a very nice stay in the appartment. The apartment is located in a nice area and quite big for Parisian conditions! Everything was clean, and nicely prepared. Great place to stay.
This apartment is the perfect place for a romantic get-away in Paris. Beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and in the most charming neighborhood: so Parisian you will feel like you've landed in a movie set! The location is very convenient, just steps away from the metro and the Sacre Coeur, but it somehow feels worlds away from the touristy atmosphere surrounding nearby sights; it is tucked away on a quiet street full of cute cafes, bakeries, and bistros. The apartment itself is very spacious, and the bed is HUGE and very comfortable. Sophie went out of her way to make us feel at home, welcoming us with fresh goodies from a nearby patisserie (much appreciated after our long journey!) and providing us with everything we needed to enjoy our stay (from little luxuries like candles to necessities like where to find the nearest pharmacy). If it hadn't been our first time in Paris, we would have been tempted to forgo the sightseeing and spend our whole vacation relaxing in her lovely home!
We will definitely be back!
Amazing apartment in a fantastic area of Paris, the tips were spot on and I've never felt more comfortable in an Airbnb place.
