Tammy's house was perfect for our group. Nice, comfy beds and a great backyard for a glass of wine in the afternoon. The location is close to downtown, but not exactly walkabout - fine, since it rained most of our stay anyway. There's coffee and a few restaurants within walking distance, though. My only complaint is that the stairs to the third / master bedroom are VERY steep. But, a great space once you're up there.
Five friends planned a "ladies' trip" to Asheville. I chose Tammy's home after reading reviews and noting the location (we are all walkers and enjoy sightseeing the neighborhoods). We were all so pleased with this home - especially all the personal touches. Beds and pillows (VERY important) were quite comfortable. The outdoor garden and plantings were lovely to see when we had coffee in the morning. It was fine for us -- but might be a challenge for some. We had a wonderful time -- and would absolutely recommend Tammy's home to others when visiting Asheville.
Tammy communicated with us well in advance and asked relevant questions regarding my children's ages, etc to ensure the house was appropriate. When I inquired about an earlier check-in, she got back to me quickly accommodating our request.
This is a wonderful place to stay. The pictures don't do it justice. It was immaculate, creative, peaceful and lush. Everything about the stay was as wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet, but near downtown. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Everything about this house was great and just as advertised. The neighborhood was five minutes from downtown and very easy to get to.
Communication with Tammy prior to our stay was great. Entry to the house was just as she said. And her home is a wonderful retreat in the middle of Asheville. The king bed upstairs was very comfy and the upstairs suite is a wonderful space. I think this is the perfect Asheville home to stay in when coming to town or needing more space for your family and friends.
Great location to take advantage of all Asheville has to offer. Fenced yard nice for dogs though challenging with pond & gardens. Am sure it's very pretty in spring & summer but we were there in December. House was decorated for the holidays which was nice touch!
Several in our party had bad allergies while there, so either previous guests or host has had cats in the house, which should be disclosed. Although the master suite on top floor is very spacious, the stairs to it are very challenging - think steep, uncarpeted attic stairs. We had to carry our large, older dog up & down the stairs - so also not good for young kids or older folks. Also, no window coverings on pretty skylights, so not good if you're a light sleeper.
House pretty well equipped but for tube addicts, no TV on main floor only in master upstairs.
Host easy to work with & responded promptly to all questions. Good deal for the money.
I have lived in Asheville for 30 years.I am a runner, gardener & occasional road biker. I also have a regular yoga practice.
In May 2013 I traveled to San Diego to attend the National Iyengar yoga conference.
I volunteer & foster dogs for Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, a local NO killer shelter. I have 4 dogs that are my babies.
I have traveled extensively out west, usually backpacking &/or car camping. I have also visited Greece where I island jumped solo for several days & on another occasion traveled to Barcelona into the Pyrenees & into the very southern tip of France & back down the Mediterranean coast into Spain finding lodging along the way.
