This house was perfect. We were in town for a family wedding and my family couldn't have been more comfortable at Tammy's house. The master suite is stunning, but all the bedrooms and common spaces were beautifully appointed, interesting and comfortable. The location is ideal - so close to downtown but also easy access to roads leading out of town to explore the area. Tammy's instructions were perfect and we loved our stay. I'd highly recommend this lovely home.
Tammy's house is located in one of the loveliest parts of Asheville. It is a quiet, tree-filled residential part of Montford close to downtown. Tammy contacted me to tell me how to get into the house and everything was well prepared when we arrived. Tammy responded quickly to any questions or problems we had. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is large and easy to work in. Our party of four had a wonderful time sitting out in Tammy's beautiful yard. My only warning is that the steps to the second floor master suite are very steep, so if you have knee or mobility problems it might not be accessible. We were fine, though, and liked the additional privacy of bedrooms on two floors.
Tammy was a wonderful host. We met her our first day there and she shared area info with us and was gracious enough to answer all our questions about her beautiful yard and garden. The neighborhood is quiet and safe (despite the stree construction that started the day of our arrival). It is a nice area for a morning walk and I saw many other walkers and joggers while I explored. There are a few restaurants that are easily walkable from the house and the drive into downtown is no more than 10 minutes. We loved Asheville!
Tammy's house was perfect for our group. Nice, comfy beds and a great backyard for a glass of wine in the afternoon. The location is close to downtown, but not exactly walkabout - fine, since it rained most of our stay anyway. There's coffee and a few restaurants within walking distance, though. My only complaint is that the stairs to the third / master bedroom are VERY steep. But, a great space once you're up there.
Five friends planned a "ladies' trip" to Asheville. I chose Tammy's home after reading reviews and noting the location (we are all walkers and enjoy sightseeing the neighborhoods). We were all so pleased with this home - especially all the personal touches. Beds and pillows (VERY important) were quite comfortable. The outdoor garden and plantings were lovely to see when we had coffee in the morning. It was fine for us -- but might be a challenge for some. We had a wonderful time -- and would absolutely recommend Tammy's home to others when visiting Asheville.
Tammy communicated with us well in advance and asked relevant questions regarding my children's ages, etc to ensure the house was appropriate. When I inquired about an earlier check-in, she got back to me quickly accommodating our request.
