Dear future guests,
We are four friends who would like to welcome you in our ‘sleep and art’ apartment named Atelier 5. It is a place where you can sleep comfortably and enjoy the exhibitions of photos, paintings, sculptures, texts - poetry and other art works created mostly by the artists who live in Venice, but also by the artists from abroad. The room has confortable double bed and small terrace from where you can enjoy a view on the neighboring roofs that is typical for Venice. Atelier 5 is on the second floor and the rooms are well illuminated.
The kitchen is well equipped, and you can use it to prepare lunch or dinner for you. Only thing that we ask is to keep it clean after you use it. We offer you coffee or orzo (coffee of barley), biscuits and finest tea selection.
Apartment has a Wi-Fi internet.
We respect our environment, and to wash bed linens, towels and to clean the apartment we use only organic products.
We recommend this room also to the families with one child and we can provide an extra child bed. There is no sleeping fee for the children up to the age of 4 years. In addition, in case you need a baby sitter or pediatrician for your child, we can help you to find one.
If you are an artist feel free to bring your art works with you and became a part of Atelier 5 art exhibitions.
The apartment is situated in Sestiere Cannaregio close to the Cannaregio canal and nearby Ghetto, where is living the Venetian Jewish Community. Cannaregio canal is very nice and sunny place where you can walk, have a coffee, lunch or dinner. Atelier 5 is placed in residential and peaceful area, 10 minutes walk from the train station St Lucia and 15 minutes walk from the main bus station Piazzale Roma. Near by the apartment, there is a beautiful city park with a kid’ playground and where you can relax, walk or read your book or even have a picnic. All other interesting and important Venetian destinations are also very close to the house. The street ‘Strada Nuova’ with shops, bars, restaurants and other services is just 5 minutes walk from the house. You can reach Rialto (Rialto bridge, fish market) in 20 minutes walk or using public transport “vaporetto” (line 1) or taking traghetto (Gondola) from the Grand Canal (St Sofia traghetto station) that will bring you to the Venetian picturesque fish and vegetable market. Only few minutes walk from the house there is a waterbus station 4.1. - 4.2 and 5.1.-5.2 on the Cannaregio Canal that can bring you directly to the Venetian Biennale exhibition locations Giardini and Arsenale and to the other Venetian islands: Murano (famous for the glass art works) and Lido, location of the Venetian Film Festival and the city beach. On the same station also stops the waterbus ‘Alilaguna – linea arancio’ that you can take in case you decide to take the waterbus from and to the Venice airport Marco Polo.
Once you are in Venice we will be happy to recommend you interesting places to visit, for art, for food, to listen some nice live music, etc.
Please write to us if you need any additional information.
Atelier 5 is clean and comfortable place to stay. The art works in your room are very important to the artists who exhibit in our apartment. You can enjoy their art works but in the same time it is not allowed to touch them and move their position. We also kindly ask you to not bring the people in the apartment that are not our guests. We also pass by the house very often to clean it or to bring our guests in the double room. Once you arrived to Venice we kindly ask you to follow our agreement for the first meeting that usually is at the water bus station Guglie. Once we meet, one of the member of Atelier 5 will bring you to the apartment. Check in time starts from 1:00 pm and is preferably till 10:00 pm.
After your check out (10:00 am), we usually have new guests coming, and we would like to offer to all our guests clean and quite hospitality. We are trying to avoid mess and traffic in the house, and in accordance to this we kindly ask you to bring your luggage with you on the time of the check out.
Thank you for your understanding.

The room was lovely with large windows with views of Venice rooftops (and much appreciated black-out shutters), and a comfy bed. The area is a great place to stay, calm and quiet away from the hoards, but still very well connected, a short walk to the famous areas, and some nice little restaurants/cafes nearby.
Claudio made us feel very welcome and gave us plenty of tips on where to go and the best ways to get between places. We also met Masa briefly, who was also very helpful.
The only downside was that we thought we would be getting the hosts as housemates during the stay, but instead all rooms including the living room were rented out. But perhaps I misunderstood the listing regarding the hosts living there. Not a big issue though, as obviously we spent most of our time exploring anyway.
Happy to reccommend this place! Great value and location in Venice.
We had a very nice stay in Venice - thanks to the beautiful and spacious room we occupied in the Atelier 5. Everything was perfect, clean and well equipped. The house itself is quite thin-walled but everyone living there seemes to be very civilized.
The room is located conveniently near the train staton and near a waterbus station. We would definitely recommend!
Claudio checked us in, he was very kind and told us tips about getting around in Venice. We chose this place because it is close to the train station, we had a very early train and it was perfect for that. Venice is kinda small, so we walked from the appartment to all the city.
Atelier 5's double room was spacious and lovely! There was plenty of natural light and a charming view of northern cannaregio. The location is ideal because it is situated in a neighborhood where people actually live (away from the tourist circus). There are also plenty of canals close by; early morning and late night walks are highly recommended.
Armina and Claudio were communicative and nice hosts. They offered suggestions for concerts, restaurants and festivals nearby. I would highly recommend staying here!
1.located in a quiet area on the second floor.I enjoy sitting at the small balcony during morning or evening time to feel the tranquility of venice.
2.there are two other rooms rented and we shared the bathroom ,so far so good.
3. closed to raiway station (saint Lucia )and piazza Roma (bus station): ard 15mins by (website hidden) is convenient for arrival and departure.A water bus station is right infront of the BNB.
4. there are few restaurants along the canal.we tried GAM GAM ,
(Israelian food) which closed to the bridge. very nice.
Our host was very kind to meet us after our arrival and show us to our room. She left us a detailed map of Venice which was so kind and very helpful. She also made very nice dinner recommendations. Our room was clean and spacious. We felt safe and the area was quiet. We enjoyed our stay.
We loved staying at Atelier in Venice. Masa met us at the water bus station (which is a really quick walk from the main train station) and checked us in. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, and in a convenient spot to walk to the main spots of the city.
