Guest Access

Guests can enjoy an entire wide and comfortable flat. Every bedroom is far from the other one, so eveybody can have his own privacy. The living room is spacious with a plenty of room for all guests.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the same building, and guests can always contact me if necessary. Usually I welcome them personally, unless I'm out of Rome, and I say good bye when they leave.

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is not a touristic place. Here you can live like a local resident. The quarter is lively during the morning but quite calm at night since there is no movida (if you like it you can get there walking -about half an hour- or by bus).
We are really close to St Peter and its magnificence and view St. Peter's place by night is an exciting experience. If you like Nativity Scenes you can visit that of the roman street cleaners, open almost the whole year; it is built with small bits of stones from all over the world. The Pope visits it every year. Really beautiful and a few minutes walking away from our building.

Getting around

The quarter is very well connected. 64 bus is frequnet, fast and crosses all downtown until Termini railstation, so it is the best way to get there. Metro is farer (beyond St. Peter) and you can't enjoy the beauty of Rome travelling underground.
You can get downtown walking too, if you like. Navona place is about 25-30 minutes far away and I love walking there. Moreover you can enjoy your visit only walking, so you can go around narrow and characteristic streets and discover the real soul of old Rome, that you can't see using buses on the main streets.
You can park for free 200 mt far from the building, if you need, but there is an indoor parking (fee) too if you prefere.
There is St Peter railway station in a walking distance (5 min) from our building, and you can get there from Fiumicino airport.

  • Grazie di tutto! The location was great, you walk out the front door and you are only 2 blocks from the Vatican with the basilica and museum. There are local stores to buy anything you need. And the bus route (#64 was also almost in front of the apartment); this was the bus for the colleseum, trevi fountain, etc... The only down side is the street the apartment is located can be a bit noisy but so are most locations in Rome. It did not bother our family much. My wife and I and 3 children and her parents stayed at the apartment. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed it. Thanks Giovanna!!

A recommander!

  • If you are looking for a place to stay in Rome and would like to have the view of the dome of St. Peter’s, this is the place to stay. Words can't really explain how wonderful our stay was. The apartment was beautiful and clean and the view outstanding. We enjoyed many evenings on the balcony. Giovanna’s kindness and helpfulness was truly appreciated. She went beyond our expectations making sure we were accommodated. At one point during our stay there was a problem with the hot water in the apartment and Giovanna went out of her way, not only to have it repaired quickly, but gave us an alternative so we would be able to have hot showers..We did use the washer in the apartment and it was very convenient, but there is a laundry a block or so up that will wash and dry for ~9 euros. Bus 64 runs along this route and is very convenient, just make sure that you pick up a pass the day before. We kept forgetting to do that, so more often we would come home via bus 64. The grocery store is just up the street and very convenient. Lots of choices. I cooked at least 9 of the 13 nights that we were there (I love to cook). The bakery, right downstairs is not to be missed. When I visit Rome again, I will definitely stay here!

  • Giovanna was very nice and helpful. She gave us all the information we need. We all could have a great time in Rome. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The apartment has a shower and a bath. Having a bath was so nice for me after walking around long time. It is very close to St Peters and a bus stop is a minute away. There is a supermarket near it, too.

  • My family of four from Hong Kong stayed in this wonderful apartment in via della Fornaci and are most impressed by Giovanna's wonderful hospitality and detailed arrangements which have made our visit to Rome most memorable. Despite a three hour delay caused by a lost luggage, Giovanna arranged a friend to wait for us in the apartment and to show us the essentials. Giovanna even arranged to send back to me some stuff I left in the apartment which is most appreciated ! A definite choice for family and small groups visiting Rome ! August 2013

  • Giovanna met us at the apartment (she lives in the building) at the agreed upon time, where she highlighted nearby restaurants and the local supermarket. The apartment is located on the 4th floor (3rd floor on elevator which includes 0 for first floor). Apartment is in a great location to St. Peters Basilica and the Vatican, 7-10 minute walk! Bus 64 has two stops on the street in front of the apt. Used this bus to travel to Colosseum and to train station. Apartment is on a busy street so you will want to close the windows at night.

  • Giovanna was very helpful, easy to reach and always on time. The apartment is perfect: very spacious, with a lot of natural light, all the commodities and in a quiet neighborhood, just a few blocks from St. Peter. I would definitely recommend it.
