  • Eugene did a great job getting us settled in Galway. We were later than expected, and he found a way to get us the key, no problem.

Galway is a fantastic city, and Eugene's place is in the city center, easy walking distance all Galway sites, yet fairly removed form high foot traffic areas, so relatively quiet for an in-Galway location.

Condition of apartment, clean and everything worked well.

Great experience overall and I hope to get to Galway again soon, and will stay with Eugene.

  • Eugene (email hidden)- really easy to get a hold of via email/airbnb. He was at the apartment to greet us right at the time we had specified. He also was very accommodating and helpful by giving us a mini tour of the apartment. He also showed us how the shower functions, which to some may be a little intimidating. The place was very clean and comfortable and in a great location. We were within a couple minutes walk from great pubs, shopping, restaurants, and the beautiful River Corrib. The one small downside is that this place is located next to a rather noisy nightclub- so not an ideal place for light sleepers. Other than that, I wouldn't have qualms about staying at Eugene's apartment again next time we're in Galway. :)

  • We had a great time in Galway, and the experience would not have been as great if we stayed somewhere else. It was a very nice apartment in the perfect location in Galway. Eugene (email hidden), and left us with a list of local restaurants and pubs to check out. I will definitely be recommending the place to others traveling to Galway, and will try to book here again our next trip over there. I highly recommend!

  • The apartment was pretty clean, but very small, and the tiny fridge should be scoured and the freezer needs to be defrosted. With the doors and windows closed there is no street noise; however, late at night you will hear the music from the nearby nightclub and bars until 2am. Great location in the heart of Galway, but I would recommend staying here only if you want to go out to nightclubs or if you are staying Sunday through Wednesday (Thursday through Saturday are party nights for this city).

    Response from Eugene:

Hi Cecilia. Thanks for your feedback, in particular your comments about the fridge/freezer. It is normally cleaned after each guest. The freezer was frozen over because the door had been left ajar. This was an oversight on our part and I apologize for any inconvenience. I can assure you it has been fully cleaned down and defrosted since your stay. All the best.

  • Our stay in Galway at Eugene's was wonderful. The location was extremely convenient and the apartment was clean, and well decorated. We felt right at home. As a host Eugene was welcoming and helpful. He went the extra mile by helping us find a place to store our bags while we went on a trip to the Aran Islands. We would highly recommend staying with Eugene!

  • Galway is a very fun, small city and the apartment offers the perfect place to enjoy all the city has to offer. The apartment was exactly as advertised: compact, stylish, warm, fully equipped (cooking facilities, washer & dryer), and centrally located. It's perfect for one person or a couple. It is a 5-10 minute walk to everywhere in Galway (pubs, theaters, bookstores). For visitors at NUIG, it's a 15 minute walk to the main university entrance, 30 minutes to the far northern end of campus. Eugene, the host, was wonderful.

  • Great apartment, AMAZING central location... quaint, comfortable and a perfect home base for exploring Galway. Eugene communicated very well and showed us a brief tour of the apartment when we arrived which was very helpful. The apartment is very tidy and welcoming. Washer and dryer are convenient in the kitchen. There is no TV but we kept very busy with all the sights of the city and didn’t need one anyway ☺ We loved Galway and wish we had more time there!

  • The apartment is a quaint, efficient, and peaceful little nest located in the heart of Galway. It has been quite tastefully updated, and the view out the bedroom window offers much character. It’s easily accessible to both the train and bus, and also an easy walk to the Latin Quarter and the Salt Hill Promenade. Eugene was excellent at communicating and being available as needed. We appreciated his sincere welcome. Galway had many charms---especially the Saturday Market, the music at St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, trad music at the pubs, the River Corrib---two days was not nearly enough!

  • Eugene was amazingly communicative and kind. The apartment garnered nothing but envy and adoration from myself and my travel companion. Well appointed with some design elements that I recommended to my friend back home for his remodel. I loved the floors and the AMAZING use of space. You want central? This is central!! A few nights out, were met with the joy of short walks back to the apartment. I choose this place for its amenities, and it's location and they really out did themselves on both counts, so when you add Eugene's sincere and exstremely helpful demeanor, it all just made Galway a very special leg of my journey, at a really great price!! If/when I'm ever back in Galway I'll definitely be praying this is available!!
