We were delighted with this lovely apartment; It is situated in a great neighbourhood...you can walk to everything!
We loved the antique furnishings, gracious stairway, and large scale windows; Would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great, spacious townhouse with very comfortable bed, nice high ceilings, easy walk to farmers market and downtown. Fresh flowers for us on the table!
We had a great stay at Sheryl and Suzanne's! Surprisingly large and beautifully decorated. We loved having this place to come back to and relax after a busy day of vacationing. Beautiful light in the morning and exceptionally comfy bed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous apartment! High ceilings, big windows, impeccably decorated. Quick walk to downtown. Convenience store within 500 feet or so for all those sundry items you forgot. Lovely place, lovely hostesses.
Sheryl and Suzanne's place proved to be an ideal home base during our time in Halifax. We particularly enjoyed being just slightly off the beaten path after our daily walks to the Public Gardens, downtown, and along the waterfront. The nearby Timmy's, Superstore, and Boneheads restaurant were also appreciated. Parking was a breeze and trips to Lunenburg and the airport were relatively painless. While we did not meet either of our hosts, Suzanne was an exceptional communicator from reservation to check-out. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay with Suzanne and Sheryl in the future.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in Halifax during July while visiting relatives. We know Halifax very well, and choose this location because of the convenience to everywhere in the downtown area. We loved having parking right outside the door and we enjoyed the spacious accommodations. We only used the kitchen for breakfast and drinks and it was certainly great for us. The bed was very comfortable....very high - so great in a Victorian home:-). We spoke with Suzanne and found her to be a great gal...also good directions for access to the property. Overall a good experience and we will be back next year.
We stayed here for 3 nights in early August, 2013. Location was easy to find, parking available on site. The space is very nice and well appointed, and checking in was a breeze. The location is within 20 minutes of several tourist destinations, including Point Pleasant Park, the Harbourfront and the Pier 21 Museum. 2 large grocery stores within a 10 minute walk as well.
Overall a very nice place, and the price was quite reasonable.
Beautiful condo in a central location. We were very comfortable staying here- clean, spacious, and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Suzanne was very easy to communicate with.
We really enjoyed this house's location, its proximity to the park and downtown. No car needed when doing activities in Halifax city center. There are two nearby grocery stores. There was a very large bedroom and a small sun porch, which we used for happy hour and watching people (and trucks - see below). The shower was fantastic - great water pressure. The living room was great but the leather chair in the photo is not there. There is a fireplace mentioned, but we were told not to use it. I recommend removing it as an amenity.
While the area seems fairly safe, S. Bland st. has 18-wheeler trucks and dump trucks coming down it between 7am to as late as 11pm. Very often! You'll want to close the windows to the bedroom unless you have earplugs.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The kitchen is barely usable for making breakfast & not usable at all for cooking dinner. We enjoy picking up local foods and cooking in while we travel, which we attempted to do with a nice ribeye from the butchers at the seaport. Unfortunately, the pans were burned to a crisp by someone before us and they were low quality. There are no suitable knives for cutting anything, a melted spatula, 3 plates, few bowls and glassware. There was no sugar or salt, pepper, dish washing liquid, dishwasher soap, sponges, or kitchen towels (which is probably why the pans were burned and not clean). We did make a request of the owners who dropped off dishwasher soap and some kitchen towels (but no dw liquid or sponges). We gave up cooking after the ribeye trial. In the houses we've rented, there has always been a few condiments provided like oil, salt, pepper, flour, and sugar and in some houses a lot more.
There were exactly: 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths, and 1 hand towel (for 2 bathrooms). There was no hand soap in the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs bathroom had a bar soap (and no towel). The towel situation seemed a bit skimpy for 2 people for 5 days, especially since the towels don't dry in 1 day due to the high humidity. I would recommend providing liquid hand soap at all sinks.
The Internet was not working when we arrived but we fiddled with the modem/cable and got it working again as unsecured wifi. There were some lights that either don't work (lightbulb burned out?) or cannot plug in anywhere bc they are too far from an outlet - the lamp on a bedside table.
We were told the laundry was at the back of the house. It is not. It's part of the apartment complex just north of this house. It was great to have access to laundry, but more detail on its location will help others who stay here.
Overall, we really liked this house/condo but would not rent it again due to the kitchen issues noted above.
