“Between Arts and Paridise”. This certainly is the most appropriate way to describe the location of our farmhouse.
In fact ORTAGLIA is casted towards the art of Montepulciano, with its roofs which show all the shades of garnet red, and the dome of San Biagio, third in the word for wideness and significance.
On the same time the hill where the farmhouse stands out is plunged into the tranquillity and the charm of the tuscan countryside, muse of famous artists and poets.
On the top of this hill, between art and paradise, in the middle of seventeen century have been laid the foundations of the ORTAGLIA farmhouse.
In these fifteen acres of Paradise together with our olive-trees, which give an intense and full bodied extra virgin olive oil, you will see thousands of smiling sunflowers greeting the sun rise of August.
If you also agree that BACCHUS is the best of the Gods of the Olympus, at the ORTAGLIA estate you will find a very well furnished wine-cellar for the joy of your palates. Discover the culture of our beutiful Country towards the thousands flavours of the italian oenology.
Unbelievable. That is the one word that describes our experience. This was the only place on our 17 day tour of Italy that we were truly sad we had to leave! The host was incredible and even spent time helping us find the best places to go visit during our stay, discussed all of the wines they make with us, and even just sat and chatted with us about Italy. The grounds and accomodations are amazing and authentic! The scenery is breathtaking! My wife made fun of me because I was saying "wow" so much while we were there. We can't wait to visit again!

About the Host, Terenzio
