Large double room with private bathroom in a lovely and spacious apartment furnished in a style inspired by several periods of the last century. It is located in a very green area just 10 minutes from the city centre (by subway)
The kitchen is available to guests for breakfast (coffee, tea, milk, fresh croissants and organic marmalade).
The subway stop (A line) for the centre of Rome is 10 minutes away on foot, while the bus stop (lines 628 and 87) are 150 mt from the house.
The block is full of shops: cafes, pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants. It's near Via Appia Nuova, one of most famous shopping streets in Rome.
The home is in front of the park entrance of the Caffarella, one of the most unique areas of the city. It's possible to follow an archaelocical itinerary (even by bike) through the Appia Antica (the most important road in the ancient world)
In a few minutes you can arrive at the monuments of Cecilia Metella (I sec. a.c.), Ninfeo di Egeria (II sec. d.c.), the church of St. Urbano (VI sec. d.c.) and a medieval farm “la Vaccareccia” where you can buy typical cheese made on same farm.
The particuliarity of this apartment is that you are in the heart of the city, near the Basilica of San Giovanni and you have the subway stop 10 minutes away while being opposite to a natural and archaelogical park.
...a rare and wonderful experience.
The flat itself is an experience on its own, very nicely decorated. The room as such is also furnished with taste.
The location is good, not right in the city center, but just next to a huge park (which is good to be out of the Rome's crowd!). On the counterpart, you need approx. 25 minutes to get to the center (walk+subway).
Valerio was very kind and helpful (provided a little map with the "facilities" in the neighborhood).
All together, it is a recommended place!
