Dar les Sirenes was my best Airbnb experience ever, and I have been through a lot of great Airbnbs!
Dar les sirenes was perfectly located in the middle of the medina. It required a very interesting walk through the beautiful small street of Essaouira.
Looking from the outside of the Riad, there is no chance you can imagine the gem that's inside.
As you you walk-in, you are confused by how authentic the Riad feel while being very modern. The team that hosts you is made of the most welcoming people in Morocco which is hard because Moroccan are very welcoming people.
Every room in the Riad is decorated with the best taste using original pieces but renovated to make you feel very comfortable.
My wife and I would love to move in permanently, and we would not change anything.
We loved Dar les Sirenes. It was beautiful and clean, and the hosts were terrific. Wafa, the cook, made us several delicious meals. The location is on the less-touristy and less-busy edge of the medina, but very easy to access the rest of the medina.
About the Host, Silvia
I've always liked to travel, I arrived in Morocco for a short hunting trip about 20 years ago and I fell in love. Since then I went back several times and I finally decided to have stayed longer.
I found this beautiful home was destroyed, inhabited only by women who have decided to restructure thanks to the support of my partner Edward and I called Les Sirenes, in honor of the women who lived there.
