My husband and I visited 4 colleges in the area with our 17-yr-old son. Cecile's house was perfect for us, cozy, quiet and safe. It is not an impersonal/sterile environment, but more like staying at your cousin's house. Loved the back patio and yard, the fireplace, and the two kitties, who were no trouble at all, in fact fun to have around. Cecile is very responsive to any needs you may have. The home is not large, but just right for small groups with the two bedrooms and one bath, and the price is excellent for the area. We will hope to stay here again should our son land in college in the Bay Area!
A group of friends and I stayed in Cecile's place for our 10 year college reunion weekend. We loved it. Beautiful original details throughout, and really beautiful paintings on the walls. Everything was in great shape. Also, the backyard was really awesome. A great place to relax in the morning sun while drinking a cup of coffee - or in the afternoon while have a cocktail.
Cecile was also very helpful and accommodating along the way and she kept in touch throughout our stay. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely stay here again.
Cecile's home was as advertised and described. Very clean and cozy, it was a comfortable location for my week in Palo Alto. Cecile was easy to communicate with and very responsive to the few questions/inquiries I had. Overall a very positive experience.
We had a really great time at Cecile's. The apartment was really nice and cosy and beds were very confortable (Cecile was so nice that she bought also a brand new bed before our arrival!).
Cecile was always available during our stay to answer our questions and providing us with tips on Palo Alto and day trips.
She cleared out most of the closet and we had plenty of space to use for our clothes during our stay, it felt like being home!
We had a wonderful time, we will definitely come back in the future!
The house is in a perfect location from our standpoint - we had kids going to camp in Palo Alto & Mountain View and it was a short drive for them. As well as great restaurants and other places in University & California.
The house was small but entirely adequate for a family of 5 including 3 kids.
Cecile is a terrific hostess, very gracious and constantly enquiring about our well being. She had a lot of tips for us, made sure that we were well taken care of.
She has 3 cats which are both indoor and outdoors. But they love being indoors. Cecile made it very clear up front that this place is not for those who are allergic to cats. This was fine with us as we've had cats before but you should make sure you like cats if you stay here.
Overall, I'd highly recommend the place and would stay here again.
Cecile's home is lovely and charming. The backyard was wonderful for relaxing at the end of the day. She was great about clearing out some closet space so we had room to hang up our things. Would definitely stay here again!
Cecile was really helpful before after and during and open to all communication. We would definitely stay there again! It was a great location and will probably have a lot of friends who are visiting my parents stay there!
I enjoyed my stay at Cecile's place in Palo Alto. The location is ideal as it is close everything, including shop, great restaurants, and trails. At the same time, it's in a quiet location and feels like a home away from home. Cecile and her daughter are also very friendly and helpful.
