The Bay Beach Bungalow is a modern, studio style property, perfect for a lazy weekend break or as a base to spend a few days exploring the Great Ocean Road and the Otways, with all their waterfalls, scenic drives and coastal walks.
The Bungalow is located directly across the road from the main beach and one minutes walk to great cafes, restaurants and shops. It is a two minute walk from the bus stop.

Great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach, shops and cafes. Really enjoyed the selection of loose leaf teas and it was a nice surprise to find a couple of gourmet ice-creams in the freezer. The bungalow was furnished with style and Marie’s selection of original art on the walls gave it a really nice touch. The veranda was very pleasnt and a good spot to relax and enjoy the view across to the sea. And of course Apollo Bay is such a beautiful place.
Great accommodation in the heart of Apollo Bay that is walking distance to shops and restaurants. The apartment was clean and bright and had good facilities. We will definitely stay again!
Marie was really quick to respond to our booking request and to our subsequent texts, her place is a spotless, bright and cosy little nest tucked one street back from the main drag and really well placed for food shopping or eating out. You can see and hear the sea from the front windows and deck, and the little garden was full of wee honeyeaters when we were there. We really enjoyed our 3 nights there, and are already recommending it to friends.
Despite never meeting the host, check-in and check-out was easy. While the place was spotless and modern, we were a bit disappointed that it is not actually on the beach. There is a partial view of the ocean though and you can hear the waves. As advertised, there is no internet or WiFi, which is a bit odd as the surrounding hotels, condos, and bungalows seem to have WiFi access. Easy walking to the beach and several restaurants.
thanks so much for your feedback. With regard to being on the beach, you will have noticed there are no properties 'on the beach'. The idea that the view is only 'partial' is up for debate I would have to say!! The wifi situation is probably not ideal but unavoidable as there are no land lines in the cottages.
This was a lovely place to stay in Apollo Bay - very convenient in terms of location and it had everything we needed for a great price. Communication was prompt and excellent. There were lots of nice little stylish touches to make this place feel extra special. Thank you, I hope we'll be back!
Simply elegant and very convenient little studio. Marie was available and all was clean and neat. We can see the water from the garden and let the waves get you asleep, sweeet! Great deal!

I have lived in Apollo Bay for 25 years. I operate a cafe in the main street, called The Bay Leaf. I love living in the country, but enjoy trips to the city for all it offers. I travel quite a bit, my favourite cities would be London and New York.
