Interaction with Guests
We are available to answer any questions. We enjoy meeting our guests but realize you didn't come here to visit us!
We have a fabulous independent coffee bar in the neighborhood--a real treasure. There's a great carry out, local food place just up the street. Trader Joe's is a 20 min walk or quick car ride for stocking up on food supplies. We are close to the bus stop for a quick trip into town or campus if you don't want to walk there or don't have a car. And for U of M fans here for game days the Stadium is a very pleasant mile walk away.
Right on the bus line.
Other Things to Note
Off street parking, gardens and porch rocking chairs overlooking them to enjoy, chickens to feed, picnic table.
We welcome guests whose habits don't include smoking, loud music, heavy drinking, drugs, etc. The kitchen needs to be cleaned up after each use but it is available and well equipped for you to prepare meals or store your leftovers from eating out. Dishes can be rinsed and left in dishwasher. Other than that we welcome you to make this your home-base for whatever brings you to town.
The two of us enjoyed a pleasant 3-night stay at this Air BnB. The accommodations are spacious, private, quiet, and well lit by natural light. Our hosts provided us with fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and granola for breakfast the first morning. We were able to park our car off the street in their large drive way. The drive to downtown and the central U of M campus only takes 5 minutes. We definitely recommend this Air BnB.
Judy was great, and even left out a couple of bottles of Gatorade for me as I arrived quite late. There were the expected bathroom amenities, towels, and a nice mattress, and overall the place was very clean. It's the second floor of a house, and the first floor is used for the purveyor's business. I was there on the weekend, so it was rather quiet. Cannot comment for weekdays as I wasn't there on a weekday. It's in a loft so the ceiling was a little low in the actual bedroom for me personally, but you'll only notice it if you're more than 6'2" or so in height. The location was quiet, and a nice distance from anything commercial. It's not walking distance to Ann Arbor's downtown restaurants, and I liked that as there wasn't much noise at all at night.
Judy was very quick to revert, and communicative and welcoming throughout my stay. The accommodation is reached throughout a downstairs consisting of a very well-stocked kitchen, and the consulting rooms that Judy operates. Upstairs includes a suite, with living room/area for work, bathroom and bedroom. Facilities are spotless, comfortable and with everything I needed. All in all, I'm looking forward to coming back!
Judy came right out to meet us when we arrived, gave us a great tour of the space, and was very welcoming. The space was perfect, roomy bathroom, comfortable bed. Everything was clean and well organized. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be back next time we're in the area.
Comfortable, very clean bedroom with bath and sitting room that is located upstairs of a small business. (you pass through the business on your way to the suite. ) Located in a mixed small business/residential neighborhood, it has easy access to local food places and even a Peet's Coffee Cafe. Very simple check in and check out. Judy was very friendly and helpful.
My stay with Judy was exactly what I was looking for: a quiet, private, accessible, and comfortable place from which to base a research trip to Ann Arbor. In our communication before my arrival, Judy was helpful, prompt, and welcoming. The apartment was just as described and a nice place to spend a week. I also particularly appreciated access to a full kitchen. I would happily return if I find myself back in Ann Arbor, and recommend it to others looking for a place in the area.
We welcome you to make this your home base while in Ann Arbor. Your suite is clean, bright and spacious and we'll do our best to make your stay comfortable without being intrusive. The space affords alot of privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you to make breakfast or dinner if that's what you like, or we can point you to our favorite places in town. I enjoy making homemade granola for guests and leave yogurt along with fresh fruit in the refrigerator for a quick breakfast Coffee, teas and half & half are provided. If you prefer soy or almond milk please let me know in advance.
My partner and I are both self-employed and work unobtrusively out of the downstairs of the house. My dog Sophie comes to work with me and spends the day on a chaise lounge supervising my work. Because we're self-employed we're usually just a text away if you need something.
We love our neighborhood because it is safe, friendly, has an awesome indy coffee bar (and roaster), there's a great, local foods take out place 1/4 mile down the road, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are close, it's close but not too close to campus and town, is on a bus line, and is walking distance to MI Stadium.
