Staying here in this 2-story tranquil townhome, you can walk or bike to Austin's best attractions: Zilker Park, Barton Springs, ACL, SXSW, Long Center, Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Palmer Events Center, Zach Scott Theater, go canoeing, or eat at plenty of the great restaurants, (like the original Chuy's) and there's also a grocery nearby. It is also just 2 miles to the Barton Oaks Helicopter F1 transport facility! The city bus is a only a 10 minute walk. Or you can stay at home and have a glass of wine on the upstairs porch overlooking a little forest; or watch Netflix on the 32' Flatscreen. You'll have nice views and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen has all basic appliances and a fancy coffee machine for caffeine achievers! 2 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, A gas fireplace. Beautiful neighborhood. Parking available. Wifi. Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and the Hike and Bike Trail consist of 360 acres on which visitors can ride bikes (bike rental a mile away), hike, rent kayaks or canoes, play volleyball or disk golf, fly kites, or stroll through the botanical gardens. While at the lake you can try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding, the world's fastest growing water sport. Barton Springs Road is home to many bars and restaurants, a putting range, a mini golf course, and a performing arts center. Nearby is the world class Zach Scott Theater, the Austin Nature and Science Center, the famous food trailers, the South Congress boutiques, home to First Thursday, and a spectacular view of the Congress Bridge bats flying at dusk between March and November.
No Smoking indoors. Be kind to the neighbors--they are very nice. Treat the place as if it were your own property. We appreciate it. Pets on a case by case basis. Know that there are families and children in the vicinity, so nothing too crazy!
Daris and Tom were great hosts and the home was exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to all friends and family. They left us a bottle of wine and snacks and were responsive to all requests. The neighborhood and location were also perfect.
