Good restaurants and pizzerias within less than 5 minutes walking!
A wonderful place to stay, with a host that speaks perfect English. The home is very secure (three separate locked doors to get in) and has all the amenities you could ask for. Great experience, and I loved it!
One very important tip: DO NOT BRING A BIG CAR. Or do, but be a very good driver. The streets around the apartment are a long maze of very, very tight streets. I learned how to drive again during my stay, haha!
A beautiful and large appartment in the middle of Viterbo. Staying at Virginio's place is definitely worth the money.
Great apartment on a great location.
Virginio's place is right in the center, in a wonderful house. I don't know how old, but it's been there for a few centuries for sure. The house and the flat beautifully renovated with style. Virginio was away, his parents were waiting for me in the flat. It was clean, they made the bed and left towels. The flat is also super safe (that is important for me, I was teavelling with my equipment), there are 3 locked doors between your stuff and the street . (And Viterbo is a calm and peaceful town anyway.)
There is everything you need, full kitchen with basic equipment. The washing machine was a life saver (I spent a week there working and it was really hot).
It's wise to close the window shades but leave the windows open every morning before you leave the flat.
I loved the neighbourhood, especially the trattoria Archetto, and the Café Antica. Nonna Agnese in Archetto comes out from the kitchen now and then, to check out if every guest is ok with her daily offer. And Antica is a church of coffee, the guys are priests of cappucino.
I loved it. Will return.
My fiancé and I stayed here for a few days, and couldn't have been more thrilled with the location. Virginio is a super, super nice guy, and great host. We had some issues with the hot water lasting more than a few minutes in the shower, but he took care of it right away. Also, if you are unfamiliar with Italian locks, be sure to have him show you how to use the keys before he leaves! They are a bit different from American locks and it took us a couple of minutes to figure it out our first night. The apartment itself was comfortable and warm, and again, the location was perfect. Right next to one of my favorite restaurants - La Spaghetteria! - and plenty of shopping. We had a wonderful time.
Ottimo soggiorno. Casa tranquilla e silenziosa, pulita e centralissima.
