In the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, and just 10 minutes from the Cosby, TN entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is my 60 year old county home nestled in the woods of Spring Creek Hollow. The comfy cabin feel of the home where I've lived for 35 years includes a surprisingly luxurious spa bathroom and 2 cozy bedrooms with queen size beds (flat rate is per room). As a locavore and organic gardener for over 40 years, my shelves are laden with canned fruits and vegetables and my refrigerator is stocked with organic meats and dairy products. For a small additional charge, hungry hikers returning from the 1/2 mile of walking trails on the farm and longer excursions in the surrounding mountainside can enjoy carefully prepared, simple and delicious meals. A full country breakfast and picnic lunch can also be prepared for longer day hikes and selected wines made available for your evening enjoyment. Information about the best trails, overnight camping, and swimming holes in the National Park and Cherokee National Forest is provided to guests.
In addition to being smack dab in the middle of the Smoky Mountains, Spring Creek Hollow is just minutes from I-40, with Knoxville, TN an hour to the west and Asheville, NC, an hour and a half to the the east.

Dianne has a great location in the heart of the Smokey Mountain region if you're looking for a local vibe. If you know what you want to see, in the time you're there, she will help you get to it. We recommend having her make a meal or two for you because her food is local, made fresh and delicious. A comfortable stay and great company (her dog Buddy and cat Tommy too). We will be back to visit!
Dianne was very welcoming and made us feel at home straightaway with a roast dinner. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and helped us to arrange an action-packed day of exploration around the Smokey Mountains. We were both quite sad to bid her and Buddy (the dog) farewell after two nights, would definitely stay with her again.
This was our second stay with Dianne, and I hope not our last! When we returned from our 2 week trip around TN, NC and SC, our family of 3 voted....best food: Dianne's......best night sleep: Dianne's. It really is a special place and quite possibly the most relaxing night of my entire summer. Thanks Dianne...
It was such a great experience at Dianne's place. Her home is very very pretty, a great location to many wonderful trails nearby. She is very nice to talk to, and she gave us so many reconmendations that really made our trip. I also reconmend her homestyle cooking, right from the garden to the table. We would love to come back again!
Staying with Dianne was absolutely lovely. She is such a gracious host and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Her home is warm and cozy, and the food she prepared was delicious. The conversation, company, and advice she shared was superb. It was such a treat to share her space - and we would truly love to stay with Dianne again some day.
We loved Diannes rustic cabbin in the woods, it was a perfect cozy, home-away-from-home. The location is great for some really beautiful trails of all different hiking levels.
Her home cooked food was wonderful so i would reccomend that too!
we hope to visit again in the future!
Staying at Dianne's was the best choice we made for our vacation. Her home and food were lovely and the location of her house is not too far away from most of the popular tourist destinations. She is very thoughtful and great to talk to, make sure to have at least one meal with her while you stay there. We will most definitely be going back in the future!
Dianne was a gracious host offering a clean, cozy room and a delicious meal from her garden. We stayed for one night and Dianne offered perfect suggestions for a scenic drive to a beautiful area of the park for a quick hike. She even brewed us coffee to go since it was a cold morning! We will definitely stay again, should we pass through TN!
