I stayed at Kate's for 7 nights for when I visited New York City. Her groovy Art Deco apartment is conveniently located just a few train stops away from Manhattan so it's very convenient. The train stop is near many supermarkets, take away joints and is very safe. The room I was in was very comfortable and I definitely got good night sleeps after long days checking out the sights of NYC. The place is very clean, inspiring (beautiful art) and has plenty of sunlight through it. Highly recommended!

Kate and her space were wonderful! I had a very busy work trip and both Kate and her boyfriend were extremely respectful that I was in bed early. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and very quiet. I felt at home and comfortable and would definitely stay again!

The room is exactly as described and delightful--I would stay there again. It's sunny and you have a lovely fractured view of the city. As previous commenters have noted, there's a $50 cleaning fee due in cash, and the guest bathroom is down a steep flight of stairs. Otherwise, all good and great deal.
The room was as on the pictures. I had a good stay. The room was clean and the neighborhood was fine. It's a walk to the metro, but I never felt unsafe, walking there in the evening.
The communication was summier but accurate. I enjoyed the quiet nights, wich I didn't have in downtown manhattan.
