Airbnb suggests this...Enquire about availability. I am right here to respond to your questions. Send me a note.

We serve a simple continental breakfast which is included for the first time this year. Almost anything you can wish for in food or drink wise we can produce if you let us know and someone is helping me every day but Sun. I will tell you the price and my housekeeper Betty will go out and buy the food you wish to eat. The kitchen is fully equipped so you are welcome to make whatever you want as well. We charge $5 a day for the use of the kitchen. Helps us stay stocked up on the things used by guests. Simple rules, everyone cleans up after themselves.
If you wish to use the services of the woman helping me, just ask me and I will set it up.
We charge a small fee.

She can shop for you. Cook the food you bought. Take you somewhere you need to do something. Wash your sandals. Sew
something up. Anything to help. Going to the
market to get shrimp is fun.

I just need to program it so that all the guests
are happy and we are all in harmony. Think traveling now is all about the service. Giving guests the pampering they wish for.

I had someone come and cut my guests hair, mine too. Also arrange pedicures here.
A fabulous guy comes to the house and gives you a massage to remember. What else can we dream up ?

The weather is perfect here. After living all over the world the winters here after over 30 years never disappoint. Breeze off the water and perfect beach weather every day. The nights cool off to perfect for sleeping.

If you find the calendar booked for the dates you wish, try switching to one of the other rooms listed separately here. Any problems with booking and there have been some, just message me here and I will sort it out to your satisfaction.

Have had a lot of requests for one night. I have a 2 night minimum. So I have decided to take the one nighters for
an increase in the price per room. $15 more per room for one night. Helps with all the work it takes to get your room and the bathroom ready. We are still one of the least expensive and clean and comfortable places that rent in town. Most of the cheaper ones aren't close to town.

WIFI and cable TV if you wish to catch up on the news in English or watch a movie. And of course tons of spanish channels.

The fresh juices squeezed right here. The fruit and vegies coming in off the ranches.

How far is it to the beach ? Walking out the front door you would get there in 15 or 20 minutes.

If you are a single woman or man not accustomed to Mexico this is a great safe way to start.

The house feels open and roomy. Big living room opening onto the kitchen and the dining table. Garden out front. Black wrought iron gates across the front. Patio out back with hooks for 2 more hammocks. Filtered water and hot water in tiled bathrooms. Comfy bedrooms to relax in after a busy day exploring the area. Close to the beach by walking or bus or taxi.

Taco stands, small shops, a local market place and restaurants are to be found within walking distance.
Easy to catch a bus 2 blocks from the house or a half a block if you wish to go the other way into town. Running all day to everywhere or connecting to another bus.

I think my place is unique because I really like having guests. As I have travelled for years of my life I have lived in other people's homes a lot. I think I make people feel welcome because they are.

Any questions and I will get right back to you.

Guest access

You have access to the whole house. Every one has their own bedrooms and shares the rest of the home.

* Big eat in kitchen. If you wish to buy food and cook your own meals and use the kitchen we charge $ 5 a day.

* Comfy large living room with cable. Wifi throughout the house.

* Back patio with a comfy hammock

* Laundry facilities off the kitchen. We charge $ 60 pesos per wash and dry.

Interaction with guests

As much or as little as you wish. When you arrive I make sure you are comfortable and settled in. If you have any questions or things you need solved I attend to those. This morning I have a guest who wishes to have her Iphone up and running here. So connecting her with someone who can do that today. If you read my reviews you will get a sense of my interactions with my guests.

The neighborhood

*We serve a simple continental breakfast which is included for the first time this year. Almost anything you can wish for in food or drink wise we can produce if you let us know and someone is helping me that day.
* I love this area as it is middle class mexico. And it is full of little tiendas and taco stands and a market close by.
* To catch a bus from here is half a block or 2 blocks left, so easy to get around. The street I live on is about 30 plus years old and a lot of the families are related. The kids are playing out on the streets til late as the weather is perfect for it. If you are looking for what it feels like to live in a real Mexican neighbourhood, this is it.

* Easy to get to the beach and the restaurants and fancy shops downtown.

Getting around

* Yes the bus goes every where and is easy to catch one from this house. Half a block right or 2 blocks left from the front door.

* Or I can call a cab to come to the front door. Cabs to downtown are about 80 pesos or $5 US with a small tip included.

Other things to note

This year the comment I hear from many of my guests who stayed have somewhere else around here or in Mexico is how Clean it is here. And how comfortable.

I cannot say enough good things about Heidi and her hacienda. The house is in an authentic Mexican neighbourhood which my friend and I loved. The locals are super friendly and helpful and there are shops, markets and little food stands near by. Heidi was amazing and always open to helping us. She greeted us with cold beers and one night we even threw a dinner party. Heidi was always open to helping us find our way around. She truly made us feel at home during our stay. I will for sure be staying with her again in the future! Thank-you Heidi and Betty for making our trip to Puerto Vallarta so amazing.

Response from Heidi:
These guys were delightful. Funny and easy going and up for anything. They loved my midget dog Piper and she followed them around. They are leaving today to go north. Hope we connect on their last day here in town on their way back home to Canada and school. Would be jolly with Maria if that happens.

My mini vacation at Heidi's hacienda was one of the best Airbnb stays I've ever experienced. Communication about check-in was clear. Heidi was available to answer any questions. She was also very friendly and great conservationist. She truly lives by the motto "mi casa es tu casa"!

Response from Heidi:
Very sweet guy. Visiting his grandparent and family in Guadalajara. Came here for a couple of days and then went back to see them again. Loved it here I think. Hope you do well in school in the US and come back again. He was out walking and exploring every day so I didn't see him much. Bring a friend with you next time and go wild.

Heidi's Hacienda was lovely. It's just as described on the website. My room looked out to a court yard full of plants and flowers. The common area is large and welcoming. Heidi is a wonderful host. On arrival she served me a nice cold beer. She knows PV well so she could answer any questions I had about what to do or where to go. I spent a couple of days at the beach with her and her dog, sweet Piper. We had a great time. Her housekeeper Betty served me coffee, toast, fresh fruit and yogurt most mornings. If I wanted something more substantial I just had to ask. She's a great cook. The house is situated in a nice Mexican neighbourhood not far from the tourist areas. Best of both words. I would definitely go back if only to visit with Heidi and Piper.

Response from Heidi:
It was fun. Most of the time there were just the 2 of us. Like having my Sister to hang out with. We went to the beach 2 days in a row. Really easy to be with and low maintenance. My dog fell in love with her and followed her around the house wherever she went. Piper was so thrilled when Sharon took her out for walks and along the beach. Sharon is packed and ready to go this evening and guess where Piper is ? Glued to her side.

A perfect home away from home. Heidi is Rockstar of a host and her house is just amazing! I highly recommend this place. The listing is very accurate. My husband and I stayed in the room with a double bed which was very comfy for us. Heidi is very cognizant about the trips and tours around. She even arranged our trip to the Marietas Islands including the Hidden Beach (which not all the tours offer***). We are very thankful to her about it. She took care of me like a mother when I wasn't feeling well. She had her housekeeper cook some special food for me so I could feel better. So kind and nice of her! It's so amazing how she creates a lively vibe in the house. Her housekeeper Betty is very kind and helpful also and cooks very good food upon request. And last but not least, her dog Piper, is such a cutie. We hope to cross paths with Heidi again.

Response from Heidi:
Wonderful couple. Relaxed and easy to live with. Working holiday so they spent time working and then off to have some fun. Cooked and hung out and enjoyed life and the warm weather here to the max. Packed and left to come here at the drop of a hat which was impressive. Not many I know can decide to travel pack and leave in a few hours. I loved that about them.

Staying with Heidi felt like a home away from home. It really felt like we found someplace special to stay--close to the vibrancy of PV but we still felt like we could get a reprieve from the tourist scene and get a street taco. I challenge you to find a better host--clean accommodations (like really clean!), light hearted story telling, privacy, safety and an opportunity to feel like I belonged in PV. It's a real part of town with roosters crowing in the morning and kids playing in the street. This is our kind of place. Our recommendation: Have Betty (Housekeeper) make you breakfast for 90 pesos (about 5 USD)--the guacamole was made from avocados grown across the street, the eggs and bacon came from local farmers!!

Some are born as beacons of good will and light. Jude is like that. Her partner and husband Alex is her perfect foil.Tuned in, participating completely in his own quiet way they are well matched. Both of them keen and funny and going for it. May their life be blessed w/ happiness in their everyday lives and a future long in ticking off every thing on their bucket list.

Heidi is a wonderful host and her home is very clean and very comfortable. Heidi's place is in a very rustic Mexican neighborhood with businesses and homes. When you walk in the front door the home is exactly like the pictures, absolutely beautiful. The housekeeper Betty is a great cook and keeps the place clean. If you like coffee they brew a really good organic coffee from beans they grind. The bed in my room was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The area is close to the bus and a short ride to downtown PV for great restaurants, bars and the ocean(15-20 min walk) The area near the house is close to small taco carts (real good cheap Mexican food). Buses back stop around 9pm so a cab ride is about $5-6. Overall the stay at Heidi's was great and I would stay there again.

Response from Heidi:
Funny as Donald is here w/ me at the beach. Actually he is off down Los Muertos Beach walking my Piper. He did announce upon arrival that he was " low maintenance ". My Mum taught me that " the proof is in the pudding ". And guess what, he is. What a fine man. Did not see one cranky bone in that gentle man's body. Happy, funny, kind and considerate. Ladies this guy is special. If he asks to stay with you say Yes.

Our stay at Heidi's was everything we hoped for! The neighbourhood is real Mexico (lotsa kids, dogs and chickens) and very central. You can be anywhere in the city with a $5 cab fare or less. There are some good restaurants nearby, tons of very cheap but awesome street food and anything you might need (cigarettes, groceries, liquor, hairdresser or a welding shop) within walking distance. It's also easy to find if you're driving. And last (but not least) both Heidi and Betty (her housekeeper and cook) are super friendly, helpful and fun! Heidi's hacienda is beautiful, comfortable and everything is extremely well looked after and organized. And did I mention the breakfast and coffee? Yumm! I was only there for a week, but met so many of the neighbours, I feel like moving there. Thank you Heidi and Betty, we hope to see you again soon!

Response from Heidi:
What a delightful time we had. The treasures they found and bought. The laughs we had trying to figure out how to pack them. Wish I had thought to photograph the huge box they eventually packed everything in. Hilarious start to finish. Hope I get to see a pic of the huge metal star light with blue stones in it when it is hung in their dining room.

I have good people skills and I grew up working in my Dad's resort hotel. So as a child I worked at different jobs there growing up. Now I love having guests in my home. Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas are outstanding when it comes to a winter vacation as the weather is unbelievable and consistently fabulous. I am in my late 60's on the outside and still somewhat of a child within. Left home very young and travelled far and wide for years. Speak english, spanish and french. Love kids and gardening. Never married or had kids. My partner of over 30 years Arturo
has been gone for 6 years now. Life seems to be about changes and realignment and charting fresh exciting courses. Let me know what you dream of doing while in and around Puerto Vallarta and I will do my utmost to help fulfill them. See you here I hope. Chao for now.
