Have a safe trip and WELCOME TO BALI!
Lock your private room and property doors when out and about.
Please be respectful of the tenants in the 2 other rooms. You all share a bathroom and a kitchen and 2 fridges.
Hang out with your roomies! Harmony and peace between my tenants is ESSENTIAL to a more fun-filled stay at my place.
It is customary and hygienic to remove your shoes before stepping into the home.
Bali experiences many sewage back-up issues. It is also customary to throw your used toilet paper in the trash bin provided.
For those tenants staying longer than a week, you may be required by the Village Chief to fill out a registration form (like a hotel does) for our row of villas. This initiative came into affect to ensure that if something were to happen (tsunami or other), your embassy will be made aware of your possible whereabouts.
Ariane was out of country. Communication via airbnb was good. Dewi and Nyoman were kind and welcoming, checking in periodically on how things were going. The room was comfortable; the ceiling fan cooled the space well. The bathroom was clean no-frills standard. I did not make use of the kitchen but it's nice for people who may want to cook their own food. Nyoman came in to clean the common areas a few times and was super helpful with transport. Location is great, near everything; a little noisy at night but that was made clear beforehand. Upon arriving I was told, with much apology from Dewi, that the internet had not been working. Not too difficult to get wifi at bars/cafes nearby. There was a tech there working on it on my last day. I appreciate the friendliness.
The house is nice, well situated. I was really welcomed and helped.
The wifi was not working but i think Dewi is taking care of it.
I stayed at Ariane's place (looked after by Dewi as Ariane is away) for 5 days. Honestly, the room that I stayed in (the one downstairs) was not very comfortable; it was a very cramped up room, and it certainly looked nothing like the one in the picture. There wasn't enough light in the room; moreover, the only light bulb was just above the ceiling fan and when both were on, the room looked like a shady disco! (there was a lamp too in the room but...) The matterress were not comfortable and each morning I woke up with sore back. The biggest turn off was, however, toilet and bathroom which need major fixing. Also, the wi-fi was extremely slow and was good for nothing. Well, that was for 2 of the 5 days; there was no wi-fi for 3 days I stayed there. All in all, it wasn't a good value.
On the other hand, Dewi was a very friendly person; in fact she was the only delight in the house. My flight got rescheduled three times and each time I updated her with the flight schedule she coordinated with the cab driver to pick me up. She also arranged a motorbike on rent for me. On the first two days of my stay, she came a couple of times a day to check if I needed anything.
That said, there was simple issues (such as toilet that need major fixing) which were beyond the control of Dewi. So I wouldn't recommend anyone to live there, though I shared the villa with a guest who told me that other two rooms are better. So if you so want to live at Ariane's, may be check with her/Dewi and don't get the room I had!
Ariane and Dewi were in contact with me as soon as I hit the ground. I was staying with them a little later on my trip but never the less "Welcome to Bali!" was what they said as soon as I spoke to them.
Finding the place was easy enough, once Dewi spoke to my cab driver. After that I realised that the location was right in the heart of Seminyak, and that everything was a short bike ride away! The villa itself is great, with the open kitchen and living room area. I even got the whole place to myself since no one had booked it for that day! So book and call it home for a few days, or weeks, you wont regret it.
Ariane and Dewi are the sweetest hosts I've met on Airbnb so far!
They are very responsive and take GREAT care of their guests (I made the mistake to book a single room while we are a couple and we got a free upgrade !!!)
The house is in a quiet place, has a nice garden and a beautiful Balinese decoration and style! You will instantly feel like home
I recommend this place to couples AND singles !
Centrally located, my stay was short and I met Dewi. Great gal and communication with Adriene was easy via viber. Room was cleaned and towel was provided. Unfortunately, the day of my arrival Internet was down, so I just went to a local cafe. Toilet Water pressure was weak , so I used a bucket of water to help flush it more smoothly. It's a good stay for short term.
Dewi is a nice person, she keeps contacting me in order to make sure that i will arrive safely. Her neighbor is nice as well, since Dewi is not at home, she helps me a lot while i lived there. The house locates in a really convenient place that is not far from beach. Nice of them!
