Upper East Side Mid-Century Hideout

House - Entire home/apt · Corona Drive, Austin, TX 78723, United States

The Space

Located off of East 51st St and Cameron Road in the quiet up-and-coming neighborhood of Windsor Park, this cozy 1950s house is just a 10 minute drive to down-town, all things East Side, and is conveniently close to all the good spots on Airport Blvd and Northloop (Kome, Foreign & Domestic, DrinkWell, Tigress, Quality Seafood).

A bus stop on Cameron and a MetroRail stop in biking distance make a car optional. Bringing your bike? A nice ride through beautiful east side neighborhoods will have you downtown in no more than 20 minutes (proximity to I35 make getting North OR South very convenient). Comfortable accommodations and a great outdoor space are ideal if you want to relax outside the hustle and bustle but don't want to be far from the action.

The house has 3 full bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and accommodates up to 6 people (sleeps 4 most comfortably). I live here full time so it is well stocked with everything you would need in a home base (great kitchen appliances, linens, towels, guest toiletries, HBO, Roku, outdoor grill). The neighborhood is quiet, though a good balance of older and younger residents means the watering hole down the street, Nomad, is always busy. Also close by: local coffee shops, Target, breakfast tacos, snow cones, awesome local pizza, fresh donuts, and a brand new HEB!

You'll love this place - it's warm, well furnished, modern with original mid-century undertones, perfect for your Austin adventure!

  • Had a great stay. Anna was lovely and friendly and even helped me out on the odd occasion when I got lost or needed advice on good restaurants or shops. It was like having a personal guide to the town which was great. The house was cute and homely with everything we needed. I was with a group of others who stayed in various houses throughout Austin and all were envious of our house. I'd definitely stay again!
