About this listing
his ad is for one of the two bedrooms available in our two-storey house built in 1850 and completely refurbished, situated in the center of the city in a pedestrian street.
We offer two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There is a refridgerator for these bedrooms in the kitchen. We also have two desktop computers and wi-fi.
On the roofdeck there is a lavatory, refridgerator, bar and everything necessary to make barbecues and paellas! There is also a projector with a giant screen, a pure delight at night.
We are a married couple with no children and our area is at the end of the second floor.
The house is next to the Cervantes Theater and next to Picasso's birthplace and Museum, supermarkets, municipal market, police station, etc. The beach is within walking distance.
The restaurant, tapas bars, and nightlife area starts at the end of the street and you will not need a vehicle to move around the city (not even to go to the beach)
Each room has a ceiling fan for the summer and there's a beautiful fireplace in the bottom floor for the cooler winter days.
If you wish to rent one room please do so through this ad. If you would like to rent both you will have to do so by renting the other room through our other ad. (so long as its available, of course).
Marta was a fantastic host. I arrived late and was hungry so she took me to a late night shop where they baked bread every 20 mins. So I bought cheese tomato and bread - all delicious.
Marta's house is so different but with wonderful original tiles and traditional feel. I loved it there especially the roof terrace.
The position is perfect for seeing Malaga as was a few minutes from the square with all the restaurants and theatre and walking distance from the harbour.
The bed was comfortable and thank goodness there was a fan in room as it was so hot in Malaga when I was there.
I will stay there again when I visit Spain but in a cooler part of the year!
The house is wonderfull and Marta is a very kind and helpfull host. Definitly a great place to explore Malaga!
Marta and Miguel were fantastic hosts. We were in contact a few times before the trip and Marta always responded promptly and kindly to our enquiries. The house is beautiful and spacious and we had full use of it. We each had a private bathroom and we had our own fridge.Marta and Miguel welcomed us warmly, giving us a detailed map, and a drink when we arrived. The location is perfect. The street itself is quiet but it is within a few minutes walk of the main museums, restaurants, shopping and the beach. Marta and Miguel left suncream, shampoo, towels and even beach towels and parasols for us, meaning that we saved room in our luggage. It felt like a home from home. I highly recommend their house as an ideal place to enjoy Málaga from.
Marta and her husband, Miguel, welcomed us warmly into their home and were helpful and interesting hosts offering lots of information about Malaga. They gave us the use of the kitchen, the lounge, the computer, the sun terrace and the delightful indoor patio pictured. Our bedroom was comfortable and we had a well-equipped private bathroom. A self-service breakfast of fresh juice, coffee, tea, toast and jams, croissants etc was provided. The house was beautiful and located in the old town within easy walking distance of all the sights and of the beach. The local No 1 bus would take you to the main train station, Maria Zambrano. We loved our stay at Marta's and would hope to stay again on our next trip to Malaga.
Marta and Miguel, thank you.
We had a great stay. A really beautiful Spanish house, loads of character, lovely kind hosts, loads of local information. Close to the city centre, about 15 min walk to beach - ask about the pedestrian tunnel near the Alcazaba. Owners happy for you to use the communal kitchen. Beautiful bathroom, lovely roof garden for an evening drink. Thoroughly recommended.
This was our first Airbnb experience and we will definitely be doing it again.
We spent 5 nights at Marta & Miguel's house and really enjoyed it!
The house is very beautiful and M&M make you feel like home.
You will receive a great advise from where to eat & drink in Malaga.
You can also borrow anything you need for the beach from towel to sun cream, rackets and so on. And if like as us, you get burnt, Marta will most probably bring you to the terrace, cut some of her Aloe Vera plant and cover you of its amazingly refreshing jelly.
We recommend to everyone looking for an authentic stay!
