Typical apartment in the heart of the traditional neighborhood of Alfama, with a bedroom with a full-size bed, a living room with a couch that can be turned into a bed, TV and wireless internet, a kitchen with electric stove, fridge, toaster and a microwave oven and a bathroom with shower and deck-style floor.
Located in Sao Miguel Square, this house is surrounded by restaurants, "Fado" houses, grocery stores, century-old churches and monuments, all within walking distance from downtown Lisbon.
In addition to being in the middle of Alfama's action, by walking 1 minute there are buses to all Lisbon's neighborhoods. You can also walk the 10 minutes that separate the apartment from Terreiro do Paço in downtown Lisbon. Also 10 minutes away there is the Santa Apolonia train and subway station.
During your stay, the guests can expect all the support and dedication from the hosts who will help you enjoy the city and make the visit to Lisbon unforgettable!
The pictures give a fair representation of the apartment. Small but cosy and located in a great neighbourhood. We barely saw the hosts, but they were always happy to help and would reply very quickly. We had a nice stay in this apartment.
Very nice apartment in a great location! :)
Easy and quick to book. *Tiny*, minimalistic apartment in a very cute area. Photo of the square probably taken from the bedroom window. Fado all around!
We had a wonderful stay, from the beginning we felt very welcome. The apartment is small and in an amazing location, the old part of Lisbon, with steep cobbled narrow streets. - enchanting! and even though it was so very loud with the Fiesta happening, as we were also warned, we never lost a nights sleep ! Restaurants and bars close at hand.
Our hosts were just a call away if we needed anything - we really didn't want to leave -
The apartment was in a great location, in the heart of Alfama. It is very small in size, but we were only there one day so it was worth it. The only bad thing is the bathroom. Apart from it being tiny, the shower, toilet and sink are all together in one. There is no separation between the three. Other than that, the apartment is ok for a short stay.
Hi Estefania! Thanks for your review. It is a small apartment hence the small price ;) The shower, toilet and sink are all in a small bathroom yes not all together in one as you mention. The pictures are detailed enough to show this. Anyway, thanks for your stay.
Our hosts Sebastiao and Joao were very helpful. The flat was 'petit' but we managed very well over the few days we were there. It was a good base for exploring the city. The night time noise did go on until past 4am which perhaps is not good for light sleepers but we were aware that there would be festival happening during our stay.
Thanks for the nice words Judy. I am aware you knew because during June, we are right in the center of the popular Santo Antonio festivities. It is not for everyone because it is noisy at night, but there is no better place if you want to be part of the festivals ;)
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope that you come back soon!
Lisbon is one of the most charming places I have ever had the pleasure to visit. An absolute delight, no doubt encouraged by our situation in the middle of Alfama - great location, much recommended. The flat is on the small side but more than enough for two people out walking all day and night. Thank you Joao and Sebastiao.
Such a cozy and bright little apartment in beautiful Alfama! For us staying in Alfama was perfect and the apartment contained everything we needed during our trip. We were delighted to even find an umbrella :) We would surely recommend others to stay in Sebastião and João's apartment!
