The room is as described and offers a great value for money. Nice swimming pool and gym area and lovely family. I can fully recommend to stay at Kim's place.

I spent a relaxing week at Kim's villa. I spent most of my time in the spa on the compound which had great sauna, steam room and swimming pool facilities although the water in the pool was not that cold considering it was so hot outside. Khalifa City is quieter and nicer to walk around than downtown Abu Dhabi but it was difficult to find a taxi when I needed one. I have a non-UAE cell phone so there was no connection when I tried to dial the 600 number to book a taxi so I had to walk to a busy road and wait in the heat until one became available. Luckily Khalifa City is close to the airport so I made my next flight on time.
Kim and his wife were great hosts, friendly and helpful. The room was also very fine, big and quiet. I had to work in Abu Dhabi and to stay there made my working-life easier. The location is a little far away from the city center, but lots of interesting and practical things are quite near (supermarkets, nice small restaurants and good cafés, highways to the rest of the UAE, Muneera Beach, Yas Island, international Airport) and Khalifa city is much more quiet, than the busy Abu Dhabi island.
“Kull amin wa antum bikhair” – „All the best“ and see you again next time – inshallah!
Really enjoyed my stay with Kim and his family. Room is simple but spacious with big window and lots of light during the day. Margaret and Kim are friendly and attentive host. It feels home away from home.
Location wise, it's good if you travel a lot to Dubai or other part of Abu Dhabi, not just Abu Dhabi city. Getting to and from Abu Dhabi airport is easy. My advice is to rent a car while in Abu Dhabi, since public transport is not as extensive as in other part of the world. If you want to use public transport, buses stops within walking distance but come summer, you will wish you rent that car.
Will I stay with them if I am back in Abu Dhabi? Absolutely.
Kim and his wife, Margrethe, are wonderful hosts. They can share many stories and experiences about the region. Staying with their family provides a glimpse of the expat lifestyle. I particularly enjoyed the conversations with Margrethe. On my arrival/departure from Abu Dhabi, Margrethe took me from/to the airport. I really appreciate the time both Kim and Margrethe took to share their knowledge about the city.
The location is in Kalifa City A. Buses to the city centre cost 2 Dirhams. The bus (161) between Kalifa City A to Marina Mall took at least an hour because of the bus route . A taxi cost 1.6 Dirhams per kilometre.
The room was clean and comfortable, like a hotel room.
Kim and Margaret were the gracious hosts during my 1 week stay in their villa. They made me feel truly welcomed in Abu Dhabi. I wished we had more time to chat at the breakfast table.
I stayed with Kim and his family for one month, and had a perfect time there. The accomodation is spacious and clean. Even though the location is a bit outside of Abu Dhabi, the busses that goes to Abu Dhabi and Masdar are only a 5 min walk away.
Most important Kim and his family were very warm and welcomming, and did their best to share their knowledge and experince with Abu Dhabi. I can warmly recommend staying with Kim.
