My safe, clean apartment is nestled in the charming town of Hoboken, an inexpensive place to stay while exploring NYC. From vintage/antique shops to nightclubs to French cafes, Hoboken has a variety of things to do, especially for young travelers.
The large bedroom has an ample closet for guests' use and balcony. All linens are provided as well as welcome snacks and breakfast food. The space features hardwood floors, brand-new kitchen appliances, balcony and bathtub.
Guests are free to use the living room to watch TV, hang out, and dine. The kitchen is available for cooking and food storage- please feel free to live in the home as if it is your own.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the house but have a very busy schedule and am in and out all the time. I want my guests to feel free to live in the space and use it as they please. I am very hospitable while giving you your space.
Hoboken is a walking town, and if you're up early in the morning you can wave to the firemen across the street and join the hundreds of commuters making their way to the PATH train. Stroll up and down Washington St, enjoying the many small shops and restaurants, not to mention the waterfront with the best views of the NYC skyline and unique parks along the water. In the summer, one of the piers becomes a sunning area where you can sip a cold beer while lounging in one of the beach chairs!
To get here, take the 126 bus from Port Authority/Times Square bus station(15 min), walk 10 min and you're here. Or, from downtown (Chelsea or World Trade Center) take the PATH train to Hoboken and walk 15 min and you're here. Try to avoid commuting during rush hour!
Other Things to Note
There is a toiletry kit available upon arrival for $10. It includes toothbrush, soap, shampoo, lotion, and more options.
I expect that each and every guest will feel at home, have fun and keep the bathroom clean ;)
Smoking is allowed on the balcony only.
Pets are possible upon request.
My experience at Dawn's place was wonderful. She responded quickly to questions. She was very flexible and helpful with the check in time (I arrived at 11:00 pm). The apartment was comfortable and welcoming. She gave good advice for places to eat. This was my first airbnb experience and it was great.
The listing posted at Dawn's lovely Hoboken home was more than accurate. Minutes away from the PATH train that travels from New Jersey to Manhattan with ease (just note the extra $2.75 fee per trip into the city)... A comfortable bed and space that we could really use to unwind after a long day exploring the city. Dawn was also super accommodating and we loved her place, and her as a host!
As per other reviews, there is a possibility that Dawn may not be around and would leave the keys to a nearby Deli. This was exactly what we encountered. However, due to some miscommunication, we were unable to obtain the keys on our first day of stay here. Unable to get into the apartment, we had to lug all our bags back to the city—where Airbnb arranged for a night's stay at a hotel for us.
Although we met with a rough start, the rest of our stay was simply amazing. We even extended our stay at the really nice apartment that Dawn has. It was almost always clean, with amenities ready for use. We also enjoyed the Hoboken neighborhood—lots of restaurants, deli, bakery, and cafes! It was, to say the least, very convenient.
I would definitely return to Dawn's for a fuss-free accommodation, and easy access to New York City!
Dawn is an absolute doll as a host and super flexible. The place suited my needs perfectly. Highly recommended.
Dawn left the keys for us at a nearby Deli since she couldn't meet us. We only saw her once throughout our stay, but she was very friendly and helpful... even asked if we needed anything else. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and the location was pretty good. The only thing we didn't take into consideration when booking, which we should have, is that the PATH train to get into Manhattan is not part of the same transport system as the Manhattan subway so public transport comes out to almost double the cost. There are lots of cute cafes and restaurants around Dawn's place so if you're looking to have a place to stay away from the busy city, this is it! With regards to an earlier review of Dawn's place, yes, there are many stairs going up and no elevator.
Dawn was a very nice host. her place is nice and tidy. it is very convenient to go to Manhattan with the path train. Just a shame that we didn't see you more! Thanks!
Staying at Dawn's apartment was a great time! The room was clean and private, and the balcony was really nice. It's a quick walk to the Path station and a lot of great restaurants, so if you're looking to explore Hoboken this is definitely an awesome deal.

I have lived in Hoboken for 2 years now and I love this little town. It's full of life and new things happening all the time. I've enjoyed living here while I spend most days in Manhattan- the balance of quiet with people out and about the streets is perfect.
I love to cook, meet new people all the time and travel as well. If I do happen to be home for more than a few minutes, I'm happy to share a meal or just chit chat.
