The Space

It's very easy to get to Manhattan from this safe, clean apartment nestled in Hoboken. A charming town of 50,000, it's an inexpensive place to stay while exploring NYC, and I can recommend some spots you will love if you just want to stay local. From vintage antique shops to nightclubs to French cafes, Hoboken has a variety of things to do, all within walking distance. The location is also ideal for a traveler who wants to vacation in NYC without wanting to pay top dollar to stay in Manhattan.

To get here, take the 126 bus from Port Authority/Times Square bus station(15 min), walk 10 min and you're here. Or, from downtown take the PATH train to Hoboken and walk 15 min and you're here.

The large bedroom has an ample closet for guests' use and balcony. All linens are provided as well as welcome snacks and breakfast food. You are given full use of the kitchen. The space features hardwood floors, standard kitchen appliances, balcony and bathtub.
I am very hospitable while giving you your space. You will feel like you are coming home at the end of the day.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the house but have a very busy schedule and am in and out all the time. I want my guests to feel free to live in the space and use it as they please.

Getting around

PATH train is 10 min walk away.

  • Great place to stay! Dawn is very easy going and the room was big, clean, and comfortable. The walk to the station is short and Hoboken is a cool town. Also, I needed to make some changes with my itinerary and Dawn was kind to work with me. I highly recommend!

  • Wonderful experience at Dawn's place! She is super friendly, well organized and it's easy to communicate with even when she's not at home. The room is big and very clean, and it's only 12 minutes walking to the path station and in 15 minutes you're in Manhattan! She also provided me the iron, in case I needed it and also something to eat and drink. Definitely a great experience! Thank you very much Dawn, I hope to see you soon!

  • Stayed at Dawn's place with my boyfriend for 5 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place or host. We were in Manhatten every day - the PATH train makes coming in and out of town very convenient.
Dawn was easily contactable and a very accommodating and friendly host. Would definitely stay here again when coming through NYC.

  • Dawn's place was terrific. We kept quite different schedule so I only actually met her once, but the place was very nice, clean, and an easy walk from the path station which made my morning commute into the city a very enjoyable and short enterprise. Hoboken is also a great town (its changed ALOT since I was last here in the 90s). Anybody looking for a hassle-free, close to Manhattan, and friendly atmosphere, this is the place.

  • Dawn was such a friendly host! She is welcoming and gave us suggestion for restaurants around the town. The room and communal area were all clean. The walk from the Hoboken Path station to the apartment was enjoyable and felt safe (even at night).

  • Dawn made my first time using Airbnb a very positive experience. Everything about the room was exactly as I expected, and I encountered no problems during my stay. The neighborhood was nice, and transit options were very convenient. It was a comfortable place to return after long days spent in the city. I would easily choose to stay there again should the need ever arise.

  • I stayed here recently on a trip to NYC - where I needed to be in Hoboken for a few days. The room is exactly like the picture shows, it's not big but it's comfortable. Dawn also was very helpful in offering the loft (see stairs) for any additional storage I may need.
I was there when it was extremely cold, and unfortunately they were having heater issues in the apartment my first night (it was very cold). I expected the heater to kick on when I arrived late, but it never did. Dawn was very concerned when notified (she was not there) in the morning, and she made sure there was a space heater - and contacted her landlord - to get it fixed and make sure there was heat for the remainder of my stay.
She encourages immediate feedback / communication to make sure her guests are comfortable - and makes sure you know at any time of day or night to let her know if there were any issues.
The neighborhood was nice and as described, and Dawn had left a towel and wash cloth in the room. Her roommate was there during my stay, and tried to be helpful.
Dawn wants people's stays to be good experiences.

  • I was looking for a comfortable and low-budget accomodation near NYC while I was preparing for exams and interviews. Dawn's place met my requirements perfectly. For a couple of days outside temperatures were extremely low and it got a bit chilly at times, but that was not a problem for me. Her roommate was a cool guy who was extremely friendly. I can definitely recommend staying at Dawn's place in Hoboken without reservation!

I have recently settled in Hoboken, NJ. I have been living out of a suitcase for the past 2 years, so it's great to settle down and be a host. I know what it's like to be a weary traveler and to seek adventure. I also love to explore unique places all over the world.
