About this listing
The apartment is located in the heart of Mile End, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, vintage shops, bars, bus stops and parks. The apartment itself is a typical Montreal apartment with it's layout and original mouldings.
I am renting a room in my apartment which is located on a tiny hidden street perfectly central and close to everything you could imagine; Mont-Royal, grocery stores, coffee shops, clothing stores, restaurants, bars, record stores, public transportation at your doorstep. Really everything is at your fingertips from here. The apartment is quite large and the room I am offering can be suitable for 1 person, or a couple (queen size bed). The street is two blocks and easy to miss so you can expect to be quiet and friendly. Although there is no balcony, we have a stoop out front. Once it's warm out it is the perfect place to enjoy the local atmosphere. The apartment is fully equipped with all appliances needed and has a large bathroom. As well anything you would need to cook a feast.
Metro Laurier is a 10 minute walk, or there are buses on the corner of the street that take you to the metros or anywhere you need. As well, the closest Bixi stands are 2 minutes away which I highly recommend, Montreal is a great biking city. As well, we have a few outdoor pools nearby that are open during the summer, which are free during the week and only a few dollars on weekends.
The apartment is just off of Laurier which has an endless list of great restaurants as well as one of the best Brewpubs in North America! Deui Du Ceil has between 15-17 in house brewed beers that alternate seasonally as well as soon as certain beers run out, they get replaced with others! There is also La Chez Simone Buvette if you want to drink some great wines and mingle with a great crowd. We also have plenty of coffee shops nearby, Boris has great coffee as well Russian style donuts made as you order. Cafe Sardines, Cafe in Gamba, Club Social, and the renowned Cafe Olimpico is with in a 5 minute walk. And of course the famous Fairmont and St Viater bagels are within 5 minute walks. Most importantly, Kem Coba is within a 5 minute walk quite possibly the best ice cream you'll ever have (the soft serve is half sorbet half ice cream and they change the combo every two weeks!).
If there is anything else you'd like to know about the place, the area or anything you would like to know please ask. :)
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment and please clean up after yourself. As this apartment is ground floor all windows must be closed before leaving the apartment or before going to sleep.
Otherwise, everything is pretty relaxed over here.
