My husband, 2 year old, and another couple spent a very peaceful and comfortable Memorial Day weekend at Trey's beautiful home. It's such a special place that we've all said we hope to return. Highly recommended.
Trey's Mill House was amazing! We had an awesome experience over the holiday.
Trey and his property manager Barbara are gracious hosts who were super helpful with the check in process and offered suggestions and helpful hints throughout our stay. What's more is how thoughtful it was for them to put out beautiful holiday decorations and arrangements in almost every room! There was even a beautiful Christmas Tree for us to put our presents for our family!
I highly recommend this rental. The house is a true gem (historic, well-kept, attention to detail) in a quintessential Bucks County setting, with easy access to New Hope and Doylestown.
Upon arrival, Barbra greeted us at the top of the driveway and gave us a great grand tour! The grounds and home itself is quite breathtaking and Trey's love for plants and the outdoors stole our hearts! We are already planning on returning in the spring so we can see the gardens in bloom!
Trey and Barbara were welcoming, kind and highly attentive to our needs. Upon arriving on the property you are immediately taken into a world of thoughtful and tasteful appointments throughout the property and in the home.
Bucks County is a beautiful and surprisingly picturesque colonial region. One senses that living the good life is tenable without the high costs normally found in such aspirational endeavors.
I can write a whole book describing our weekend at Trey's amazing house. My boyfriend and I just returned this past 4th of July weekend there (7/4-7/6), and went for our 1 year anniversary. Trey literally accommodated us so last minute, which stood out huge on its own and was deeply appreciated. The second we got there, we fell in love at first sight!! The house is GORGEOUS, romantic, well kept and the property is simply breathtaking. We loved the running creek in the back as it offered so much relaxation. The gardening work in the backyard is exquisite to say the least and you are able to sit in the coolest spots. We loved sitting outside !!!! This house was built in the 18th century, 1799 I think to be exact and it still has the old dutch doors and the original wooden staircase. Every room in the house has a feel of its own. The "Africa" room was so inspiring and lovely. All the patio's are unbelievable to sit back and enjoy a meal. There is SO much to do in the vicinity of the town. We saw one of the best Firework shows ever in Southampton, which was like 35 mins away. We went tubing down the Delaware River, which was one of the best experiences. The lakes are all gorgeous and surreal. We took a paddle boat out in Galena Lake and absolutely loved it. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. It completely exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and do it all over again !!!
The Mill House is a positive gem. The photos really cannot do justice to the charm of the place. Trey has obviously put enormous care and thought into every aspect of the house and the gardens; exquisitely beautiful as it is, the whole place feels natural, comfortable and cozy. Our little crew of parents and kids rambled in the yard, gathered around the big dining table for grand breakfast feasts and generally had a ball. Location is beautifully removed, but you also have good access to local dining (best BLT ever at Max Hansen in Carversville!), groceries and the restaurants and shopping in New Hope and Lambertville. Trey and Barbara made us very welcome and were available for any questions we had. All in all, a gloriously lovely experience and one I would gladly repeat.
