Dar Dalia is a guest house on the source path to Chefchaouen (northern Morocco). Traditional house has been restored fully preserving its authentic and adding the pleasures of modern comfort. Dar Dalia offers its guests tranquility, friendliness and comfort.
Just a short stay, but Abdul was friendly and helpful. He greeted us with mint tea and started a warm fire for us. The rooms are comfortable, though you can hear sounds from the street easily. The water stayed hot which was great! Very convenient to the the mountain walk and a 5 min walk to the Kasbah. Parking in the square right at the riad
Stayed here in Feb & were the only guests (host, Abdul, lives off-site). Abdul came each evening to light the fire which was nice, it gets quite cold in the evenings. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Overall, this is a nice guesthouse with a really great rooftop & an excellent location in this part of this unique town. Amazing views from the roof, watching people pass below. (If there is a negative, it has to be that the beds/pillows/bedcovers probably need replacing. Sorry!) Otherwise, no complaints.
We loved Dar Dalia and Chefchaouen! If you have a chance to visit this town, it's so worth it, and definitely stay at Dar Dalia. It's beautiful and spotless, comfortable, and perfectly situated just outside of the medina. Remy, the manager, is a sweetheart- he took care of us, explained the town and walked us through the map, fed us a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea, and even drove us to the bus station. He really made our stay and is the reason Chaouen is our favorite city in Morocco. We hope that Remy comes to visit us in San Francisco!
Abdul was a fantastic host. He prepared a clean room, a great breakfast and waited for us to arrive when our travel plans changed. The location is convenient and safe. The room was warm even during the rainy cold days. We highly recommend staying here!
It was such a pleasure for my fiance and I to stay in Abdul's humble abode Dar Dalia! From beginning to end he gave kind, welcoming, and accommodating energy. The space was even more beautiful than the images :) Breakfast was served every day at our chosen time 9-9:30 a.m. We had an amazing selection of fresh Moroccan breads with butter or goat cheese, jams, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, AND the most AMAZING FRESH MINT TEA (EVERY MORNING, sometimes around 7 p.m if we are around by the fire). As soon as we arrived he efficiently gave us the key and (on a huge map that that hangs up behind the front door) walked us through where everything in the Medina was located and precisely how long it would take to get there by the minute and the meter :D. If we had questions about anything at any point he wouldn't hesitate to help. To top it off Abdul had a cool sense of humor which made it easier to feel at home. He also speaks Moroccan arabic, french, spanish, english, ect! The space was always clean, wifi worked, and the neighborhood was safe/absolutely beautiful! When I come back to Chefchaouen I am definitely staying at Dar Dalia! Shukran Abdul!!!
We loved our stay at Dar Dalia! The bed & pillows were very comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was cute, quiet, and comfortable & the breakfast was delicious! The main room has a great fireplace that the manager lit each evening, we really enjoyed reading out books next to the fireplace. The terrace has great views & the location is perfect-- near the trail to the Spanish mosque. The breakfast includes fresh squeezed orange juice, drip coffee (rather than the instant we were normally served) & local cheese (plus the usual bread, jam, yogurt).
I highly recommend Dar Dalia!!
This riad was great and I would definitely want to stay there should I visit Chefchaouen again! The rooms were comfortable and cozy, the breakfast was yummy and the host Remy made sure we were well taken care of. He was very accommodating no matter what we needed, even getting up early at 6am to make sure we caught a taxi to the bus station. The decor is so quaint and the riad is conveniently located near the waterfall, a fantastic view and both the new and old medinas. I would definitely recommend Dar Dalia!!
Chaouen is a beautiful city and my favourite in morocco. Staying at dar dahlia made it even better. It's a great location and the host is super nice and offers very useful information. He even left us food for the bus ride since we were leaving early in the morning. If we were to come back, We would definitely stay here.
