The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a studio apartment nestled in Belle Plaine along the historic Lincoln Highway. A former Maid Rite restaurant, it features two queen-sized beds, a 3/4 bathroom with shower, and private parking.

We focus on short term stays, although we sometimes rent a month at a time to traveling workers. (Please message me ahead of time with details if this situation pertains to you.)

We offer a 15% discount/week. 40% per month.

The building has two secure entrances at ground level. The back door nearest the parking leads to the utility/laundry room. The front door opens to the living space. Each entrance has two steps. The entire apartment is a single story building.

Other things to note
Historic Belle Plaine is a railroad town. Like many houses and businesses in Belle Plaine, The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is near an active railroad track. Please keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper. We provide disposable earplugs for those who need them.

Belle Plaine is a about a ten minute drive from Keystone and Elberon, fifteen minutes from Marengo, twenty minutes from Tama/Toledo, thirty minutes from the Amana Colonies, forty minutes from Cedar Rapids, Grinnell, and Marshalltown, and an hour from Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Iowa City.
