About this listing
Our beautiful house in the village of Nezignan L'Eveque in the Languedoc region of Southern France is available for summer holiday rentals by the week. It has 3 double bedrooms, each one with its own en-suite shower room, a living room with a home video system (DVD player but no TV), a large kitchen, vaulted dining room, and a terrace with a stone BBQ. We are just 20 minutes drive from the beach and 3km from the historical town of Pezenas, in a sleepy village surrounded by vineyards. A real French village idyll!
The village is a medieval 'circulade', with the houses built around the site of the old castle. It has a bakery, a small grocery shop, a bar, a beauty salon, an excellent pizzeria, a posh restaurant, a fantastic wine domaine, a post office, and a 12th century church.
We recommend renting a car - there are places to park in the village. If you are arriving by train, the nearest train stations are Agde and Beziers; we are also just 15 minutes drive from Beziers Cap d'Agde airport, 45 minutes from Montpellier, and 45 minutes from Carcassonne. There are a couple of buses to Agde, Pezenas, and Beziers every day.
Please email with a bit of info about you and your holiday plans before making a booking.
No smoking please, and sorry we cannot accept pets. The village is a small and close knit community, and we hope our guests will be courteous, respectful, and adhere to village customs - for example, it is usual to say 'Bonjour' when you pass someone in the street, even if you don't know them.
Please don't book if you expect to have huge wild, drunken parties during your holiday - it's not that kind of a place.
Also, due to steep stone staircases and a mezzanine level in one of the bedrooms, we advice against bringing very small children here.
Hello! I am one half of a 30-something French-English couple, currently spending most of our time in London due to work but with our home base in France. We are looking to rent our house in France for holidays for the first time this year through AirBnB - although we have used AirBnB ourselves when visiting other places a couple of times.
