My 4 friends and I had a great time in Florence staying at via San cristofano. It was in a great location and had all the appliances we needed. However, it would've been better if the washing machine was working.
Marta is a super nice lady and was so helpful at check in. The space is nice and cozy. Good location, it was just a little bit difficult to find at night time so I would suggest checking in when there is still light out. Only bad things were that the washing machine was broken and the air conditioning is not very strong making it very hot to sleep in. Overall it was a good apartment.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay here! It was conveniently located in Santa Croce, only a 10-15 minute walk from major attractions. Although we had 5 guests, we still fit fairly comfortably, despite it being a little cramped at times. But in general, everything was very clean, our check in and check out processes went very smoothly, and we had no problems whatsoever. We would definitely recommend this choice to anybody staying in Florence!
The apartment was great and very convenient for us to get around. Thank you so much for allowing us to check in past 10 pm too.
We had a fun stay in Massimiliano's place Florence. The apartment was in a great location and made exploring Florence easy.
The communication with Massimiliano was great even though we didn't get to meet him in person. Someone else met us at the apartment instead and helped us with our luggages too.
However, the washing machine wasn't working much to our disappointment because we booked an apartment precisely for laundry purposes. He promised to give us a reply regarding the washing machine (i.e. whether someone would fix it and what time would that be) that night but unfortunately there was no news from him.
What I found really ridiculous and absurd was that they only provided 1 roll of toilet paper and it wasn't even a complete roll? It was clearly stated on airbnb but I didn't read it carefully. If I had noticed that there was only 1 roll of toilet paper provided, I would not have booked it at all. I mean which apartment would limit the number of toilet paper that their guests can use? The toilet also had poor drainage system and it felt mouldy too, like what some have mentioned in their reviews.
The "air-conditioning" is simply a fan with air-conditioning function blowing cool air. It is not legit air-conditioning.
We had 4 people in the apartment and it was a really tight squeeze. There was hardly any space to move about. Basically the living room acts as a bedroom. The apartment is also not as bright as it seems in the pictures.
Overall, location was great but I would strongly not recommend this apartment unless you don't mind the 1 roll of toilet paper.
Massimiliano did a fantastic job of communicating with us from the very first time we booked. He stayed in constant contact with us which was very helpful as we had some last minute changes to our arrival time.
Upon arrival though there was some confusion. We were met by his assistant, but unfortunately, he did not have the right key. After about a 15 minute wait or so, we finally got into the apartment. It was not cleaned from the previous tenant. Apparently there were having issues with the housecleaner. We left for our tour and when we returned the apt. had been cleaned.
The location is terrific! it is so close to everything and so convenient. If you need a taxi, there is a stand right in the Piazza Santa Croce. There are many great eateries close by.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the apt. is a bit darker than the photos. Also, if you plan to do laundry in the apt, be sure to alot enough time to dry.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location and convenience made up for all else!
We stayed at 4 nights and we were 5 people. The communication with the host were great although we didn't meet Max but there was his assistant Maurizio who welcome us and help us to bring a lot of luggage to the 3rd floor.
The apartment is too tight for us 5 and not as bright as the pictures and we don't feel clean as well. The bathroom was leaking so there's a lot of water if we take a shower. The stairs was so small and there's no elevator in the building.
But the location is superb because it so central and u can walk anywhere.
One thing I concern is in the day 3 we suspected there was someone entering the apartment because our luggage were moved. So maybe u have to lock the luggage if u go out.
After all If u want a good location this apartment is perfect.
We had a great 3 nights in the loft flat - which was clean, convenient and super spacious for two friends. Checking in and out was easy, and contact was always prompt and clear. The location is perfect - tucked away on a quiet street, but so close to the historic centre and the river. Plenty of great places to eat in just a few minutes' walk - especially recommend La Divina pizza, Trattoria Acquacotta for proper Italian cooking, the smoothies at LoveLife and the coffee at The Grocery Shop.
A beautiful and cosy apartment with quaint interior design. The location of the flat, as noted by many others, was great for touring around the historic centre of Florence. The place was spacious for the four of us. Furthermore, we were pleasantly surprised to see glass walls fitted around the bath shower area, instead of a mere shower curtain as in the airbnb pictures.
