The Space

Stay in or go out. Either way, you'll enjoy this sophisticated 1 bedroom loft apartment on quaint Church Street in the heart of Logan Circle. Styled with an eclectic mix of traditional and modern elegance, plus floor to ceiling book shelves and a wood burning fireplace, the Loft offers the following additional amenities:

- fully stocked open kitchen
- jacuzzi
- wood burning fireplace
- wireless internet
- washer/dryer
- iron/steamer
- blow dryer
- front and back deck

- Sleeping arrangements: The living room accommodates another 1-2 guests on the pull out queen-sized sofa bed. Unlike my other listing for the Loft Share, this rental is all yours!

- Location: Located in the center of Logan Circle surrounded by Whole Foods, organic markets, 24 hour pharmacy, countless restaurants, gelatterias, gyms, theaters, parks - you name it! Minutes from downtown DC. 4 blocks from the Dupont Circle metro (0.86 miles), and one block from the Circulator and the 16th Street bus corridor.

- Parking: No parking is available other than on street parking.

- Pets: Please note a cat lives on premise. When rented, I take Leopold with me unless you're cat friendly and would love his company.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Melissa's apartment/condo. You couldn't ask for a more convenient location and the unit had all the amenities we needed. We utilized her restaurant/bar recommendations and they were all fabulous. City Bike Share is 1 block away, which is a great way to see the city. We ended up getting a $49 pass to Flow Yoga and appreciated being able to go on a daily basis.

We had some confusion when booking (glitch with Airbnb, not Melissa's doing) and Melissa was great to work with when getting everything sorted out. We wouldn't hesitate recommending this to other guests.

  • Aside from trouble getting in initially, the place was great. Thanks Melissa for being available to help us get in.

  • I feel very lucky to have found Melissa's place for my 3 month stay in DC for work. The space is beautiful, bright, clean, airy, comfortable and cozy all at the same time. Each time I walked in the door, I felt like I was entering a retreat. The location is perfect for being a tourist: walking or metro distance to everything, surrounded by the best restaurants and bars, and yet it is nestled in a little pocket of peace, on a half block, tree-lined street of historic row houses, with friendly neighbors, nearby grocery stores and a cluster of churches (which conspire to provide a beautiful mid-day chorus of churchbells, in "surround-sound"). It is truly a special place, and in a very safe area for DC. It was also perfect for work, with lightening fast wi-fi and comfortable work spaces. Many days I regretted having to go "to work" at my less comfortable office. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom is spa-like. The queen size bed in the loft is amazingly comfortable. No need to be wary of the climb up. Its just a few steps, like a boat's ladder. The benefit is the large walk in closet below this, in which M left more than enough hanger and drawer space. It looks at least as nice in person as in the pictures. There was an added benefit during my stay of a very comfy sofa in front of the TV in the back room. Finally, Melissa was a delightful host. While being perfectly professional, she was also very warm, friendly and accomodating. I have never more thoroughly enjoyed a stay away from home.

  • From start to finish, Melissa was a delight to work with, and very professional. I needed a last-minute place to stay, and she made in happen in 24 hours. The loft is spacious, and both well-appointed and comfortable.
Thank you Melissa, you'll be the first I turn to when I make it back to DC.

  • This place is adorable and cozy and in a great location. Its within walking distance of everything you would need for a weekend away. Melissa reliably communicated arrival and departure information, making the stay seamless and enjoyable. The space has a bookshelf wall that truly entertains guests and the perfect sleeping nook for two. We had a great time and would love to stay at this property again. Thanks, Melissa!

  • Melissa has a great place and it is ideally located. I had a bunch of travel changes and she handled it all very graciously.

  • Lovely clean flat in a great location -- between Logan and Dupont Circles. Great restaurants in easy strolling distance. Easy public transportation to all the great sites. Unfortunately, during our stay, it was the coldest day in 20 years....in a loft with floor to ceiling windows! Needless to say, we got a little chilly as HVAC had to struggle with abnormally cold weather conditions. Nonetheless, we had a comfortable stay. The loft bed and the cool secret ladder to get to it was quite fun!

Melissa is a good communicator and was easy to contact with questions. Her lovely flat made our stay in Washington, DC comfortable and easy.
