This place is wonderful! The attached bakery is only open one day a week (Friday), but Mark prepared incredible pastries, cookies, and bread just for us in the morning. The only downside was that the second bedroom was a bit dusty. It was mainly a problem because we have unusually strong allergies. The primary bedroom was fine though. The silence was wonderful during the night (except for some friendly crickets), and chatting with Mark in the morning was lovely.

The cottage was spacious and so lovely! We felt at home right away! Mark is incredibly nice and welcoming and his breakfast was to die for! The area is secluded but perfect for a getaway from the city. Still a close enough drive to all the areas in Sonoma county!

Mark's place is such a delight. Perfect weekend escape. It was lovely interacting with him and his family, and fresh-baked pastries in the morning are hard to beat!

The rustic charm of this magical little place is endearing. Although we were just steps from the Bakery itself, we felt like we were a world away. We enjoyed Friday night's live band music on the Bakery's patio under the redwoods along with one of the best pizza's we've ever had. Mark was the most gracious and kind host and he laid out an AMAZING fresh baked spread for breakfast the next morning. Will be back for sure!

Mark User ProfileMark is a superhost.

Fourteen years ago I fell in love with an abandoned restaurant with four tired cottages on three acres of wild blackberries and old growth redwoods on Austin Creek. It has been an exhausting/exhilarating labor of love that has enriched our lives in more ways than we ever imagined. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!
