Nestled among the redwoods of Cazadero, Gravenstein Cottage is located in the oasis of Elim Grove, on the grounds of the award-winning Raymond's Bakery – the perfect place to unwind and enjoy Sonoma County.
The owners provide a warm, appetizing atmosphere in this undiscovered woodland paradise along tranquil Austin Creek, only 20 minutes from Guerneville, Russian River wineries, or the Pacific Ocean.
Decompress from the stresses of everyday life in the front room on a comfy six foot antique couch beside a real wood stove. Or refresh yourself with a hot shower under the bathroom skylight. Relax in the queen bed watching the golden varigated leaves of bamboo sway gently in the breeze outside your window.
The cottage is only a stone's throw from Austin Creek swimming hole. Wake up to the bubbling of the creek, take a plunge, enjoy strolls along nearby trails, play bocce, relax under the gazebo and nap in the garden room or under the Gravenstein apple tree. Share a romantic evening in front of the stove or by the campfire. There is also a microwave and fridge for your convenience.

Mark was a great host, and made things very easy. We loved the place and the bakery. Would certainly return.
Mark welcomed us to the cottage with his adorable twins in tow. He started out fire as we explored the grounds, and welcomed us with a drink and fresh baked pastries available in the bakery. The cabin was clean and comfortable.
Great experience! The cottage was comfortable and the property was relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and filled us up! Friday night pizza with live music was fun.
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Gravenstein Cottage. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We LOVE the breakfast. Thank you, Elizabeth, for preparing the tray for us, it made us feel very special. We had pizza Friday afternoon and sampled extra deserts, delicious!
Mark and Elizabeth are warm and welcoming hosts. Other guests were friendly, mostly families with young kids. Great to see them out enjoying the outdoors. We loved walking along the creek and chatting with the locals. From the moment that I submitted the reservation request to the time we checked out, everything meets and exceeds my expectation.
Our stay here was great. The host were very friendly, helpful, and made us feel very comfortable. The cottage was the perfect size for what we were looking for and we enjoyed the outside grounds. The breakfast tray that was included was just perfect and very enjoyable. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.
We arrived at the bakery on a Friday night in the pouring rain. Mark welcomed us with a couple glasses of wine and helped us get the wood burning stove going in our cabin. After settling in, we enjoyed some live music and homemade pizza in the bakery. What a great welcome!
The rest of our weekend was equally enjoyable. Each morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast in the bakery with a fresh-baked pastry of our choice. Mark us provided us with number suggestions for things to do in the area – including a great hike and free wine tasting!
Our cabin was clean and cozy, and the location was well-positioned for all the exploring we wanted to do in the Russian River area. We hope to be back someday soon!
We love Mark and Elizabeth! We had yet another wonderful stay at their delightful bed-and-breakfast in Cazadero– it is one of the most relaxing and beautiful places we have ever been. We can't wait to go back!

Twelve years ago my wife and I fell in love with an abandoned restaurant with four tired cottages on three acres of wild blackberries and old growth redwoods on Austin Creek. It has been an exhausting/exhilarating labor of love that has enriched our lives in more ways than we ever imagined. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have!
