Lovely studio located within the town centre - ideal for couples. Recently renovated.
Tosca is a lovely studio located within the walled town centre of Lucca, facing the famous reinassance town walls . It's located on the ground floor in a quiet and easy-access area but very close to shops, bars, restaurants and all main monuments. Tosca offers a fully equipped kitchenette (with utensils and stove, microwave, 4 gas burners, fridge and dish washer), a table with two chairs, double bed, a spacious wardrobe ( with linen, coverbed, extra pillow and towels) and a nice bathroom with shower. Upon request you can have a baby cot. During your stay you'll enjoy the pleasure of being in a different place but with the comfort and privacy of your own home. At a walking distance there are also the bus station and the train station if you are willing to do some excursions to Pisa, Florence ecc.
Guests have at their disposal the whole apartment and they can use all appliances.
I usually meet all my guests in person. During their stay in case of need, I'm just one call away!
The city of Lucca has introduced a tourist tax with effect from 1 April 2013. The tourist tax is levied on overnight stays up to a maximum of 3 consecutive overnight stays in the high season (from 1 April to the first Sunday in November) and a single overnight stay in the low season (from the first Monday in November to 31 march of the following year). Children under the age of 14 are exempted from the payment of the tax. The amount of the tax varies depending on the price (excluding 10% VAT) charged for the accommodation, according to price bands, with a minimum of € 1,00 and a maximum of € 3,00 per person per night.
The apartment at Lucca was lovely. It is bright, clean, well stocked and quite newly decorated. Alessia was waiting for me at the door, and showed me everything. She also gave me help with some travel plans, and the next day I hired a great bike from her for the day, no trouble.
Apart from the cars exciting the town at dusk, which is a little noisy, I haveno others comments. I would recommend the apartment to my friends.
Very nice studio and Alessia was very kind !
Alessia was helpful and always nice. The flat was clean and cute- the only complaint would be that it was a bit cold and took long to warm up. Besides this, the stay was great.
Nice tiny apartment in the old part of Lucca. Clean and fresh Alessia is very helpful host. The only what was missing during our short stay is some kitchen appliance for Italian cuisine experience. Great place for couples.
Beautiful apartment within the walls of Lucca with a restaurant that is very authentic right around the corner. Lovely stay ! Alessia is very accommodating and speaks perfect English! Would stay here again and again!
We had a wonderful stay at Alessia's apartment. The location is perfect, within the city walls and directly in the center of the city. There is an amazing restaurant at the corner, Trattoria da Giulio, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Alessia was here in time to welcome us very nicely. The apartment is lovely, very clean and well furnished. The kitchen has the basics if you'd rather eat at home instead that going to the restaurant. It is very convenient. The sofa bed is big and ok for a few days. And the bathroom is just amazing with a huge shower and beautiful brown and golden tiles. You will definitely love it.
The only thing that I would point is that when we stayed here there were children running in the apartment upstairs and quite noisy in the morning and in the evening, but I don't know if they live here or if they were just visitors. But that did not spoil the pleasure.
The apartment is very clean and secure. Having a kitchenette was really useful during our three night stay. We were able to buy delicious breads and local food for some meals. This saved money and allowed us to try many of the things that can be seen in the interesting shops throughout Lucca. We liked Da Pone A Quarto (Via Dei Borghi 24). Alessia will give you the name of one of the best traditional restaurants in Lucca, it's just behind the apartment. Lovely and very reasonably priced.
The sofa bed was fine for our first night, but by our third night we were dreading going to bed. We are both over 50, so perhaps for younger travellers this would not be a problem.
There was a lot of noise coming from the apartment directly above us every night until about (phone number hidden). It sounded like chairs being dragged, someone running and thumping. It may have just been unfortunate timing for us and might not continue to be a problem.
Alessia is delightful, very helpful and easy to communicate with.
We arrived and departed by train. Its a good 20 minute flat walk to the station. One evening around 6.00 we walked through Lucca after taking the train back from Florence. It's a lovely time of the day to do this, peaceful and interesting.
Being close to the wall was handy for easy navigating. The maze of streets in Lucca can be tricky find your way around in.
A nice charming little one room appartment in the center. Everything was spanking new and the overall look was great.
The internet was not working as it should when we were there. But that was only a slicht inconvenience in the bigger scale of things....
Alessia was there right on time and was very helpful.
We had a great time!
Lovely apartment inside the old walls of Lucca. Parking for non-residents is prohibited, but Alessia advised us how to get close and unload our many suitcases and food (we are travelling for a month). Then we left the car a few minutes away in public parking.
The apartment was clean, bathroom modern, the internet worked well with my laptop, two iPads and two iPhones. Small kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, all very convenient. A lovely local restaurant on the back side of the same building.
I wish we could have stayed longer, but we were booked with another Airbnb host in Siena.
