Actuly not me, but two of my cousins lived there, I only just managed the payment:-) but they enjoyed the warm host of Lauren. It is realy clean and bright.
Lovely cosy flat , easy to find with good bus links into Edinburgh, although the walk is fine. Everything available for a few weeks stay and it really helped me out to stay there while I was between homes. Thanks Laurel and also to your cleaner Vicki.
We had a great stay at Laurel's place ! It's perfectly located (walking distance to Britannia ship and lots of great food places) and in an area where parking is free and ride to the center is about 15min. There is a basic grocery store just down the stairs that opens on Sundays too. Unfortunately we never met Laurel, but the lady in charge of the flat was very kind. Laurel did really go out of her way to get us a baby crib for the duration of our stay and that really saved us a lot of trouble : thanks again for that ! Building is very quiet and we barely heard the neighbors during our 3 days. The only drawback I want to mention is that the hallway as you enter the building is a bit worn out (building door needed to be fixed, recyclable trash were literally on the way on the floor, wall paint had seen better days). On the other side we never felt unsafe in the area (even with kids) and the accessible backyard garden was a cool plus for our 4y.o. Daughter.
Thanks for your feedback. I've only just been made aware of the broken lock in the last few days, and will be getting it fixed in the next few days. The main stair is also due for a repaint which will is scheduled to be done over the next few months. Unfortunately, that's the only place for the recycling. It's up to all the householders to keep it tidy.
As I'm away with work a lot it's good to get feedback so I can keep on top of things from afar.
Great, big and cosy flat in Leith, close to shops and restaurants. Getting into the city was easy, via the number 22 bus. Would highly recommend staying here. Amazing place to sleep and relax between all the new year partying :)
Thanks from Claire, Sally, Zoe and Jonny
We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh made all the better by Laurel's wonderful apartment in Leeds. Leeds is a great location, with many fantastic restaurants (some Michelin star) and bars. The apartment was just lovely, clean, bright and it had every thing we could possibly need ( in abundance) for our month long stay. Edinburgh is just over 2 miles away and makes for a nice work on a sunny day or the bus can be caught at the to of the street. Laurel was wonderful even though we didn't meet her, she responded to our questions promptly and ensured that someone was there to show us around when we arrived. I highly recommend this gorgeous apartment and thank Laurel for our wonderful memories of Edinburgh.
What a great place to stay in Leith, and Leith is a great place to stay within very easy reach of Edinburgh.
The flat is only 10 mins walk from all that Leith has to offer - and that's a considerable amount. Think Camden!
Laurel was an excellent host making sure we were met on arrival and keeping in touch throughout our stay... of 9-weeks.
Definitely recommend Laurel's place for a short break or longer stay. Plenty of public transport and easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants.

About the Host, Laurel
My name's Laurel. I have lived in Edinburgh for 17 years now with my two daughters who are now off experiencing their own adventures.
I work freelance in the Scottish Film & TV industry. When I'm not doing that you can usually find me on a yoga mat, or cycling about somewhere.
Edinburgh is the first city I ever lived in, & I never wanted to move to another. It has a perfect mix of vibrant cityness with a good sprinkling of quiet open spaces. Fabulous beaches & hill walking rub shoulders with 1st class restaurants, theatre performances & traditional celtic folk music charm.
Over the years my home has been home to visiting friends, relations and giggling teenagers. Now, with us off doing various things in various places we can open our home to you. Maybe Edinburgh will get into your blood too, & you too will never leave.
