  • I HIGHLY recommend staying with Cori and Joe. They are amazing hosts. Their house is beautiful, the rooms they rent out are very clean and decorated well with a TV in each room. The breakfast that is included is excellent and they offer activities at the house for entertainment. Cori and Joe are incredibly kind and welcoming and we really enjoyed spending time with them. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Choosing to stay in a hotel with friends for most of our trip to Louisville, we chose to stay with Cori for one night while waiting for our friends.

That was a mistake. We should have stayed longer.

We got into town rather late. Cori made no complaints and was waiting for us with her adorable dog Greta. We walked into an absolutely gorgeous house, were taken to our beautiful room, and had a very peaceful night's sleep.

Cori instantly makes you feel welcome, with hotel-style amenities and various food and drink services. She was never less than accommodating, and the next time we stay in Louisville, we look forward to staying with her longer.

  • Cori, Joe, and Greta were wonderful hosts. I had to find a place to stay last minute, and Cori was very quick to respond to my request. Definitely highly recommended! Cori and Joe provide great conversation. Breakfast was awesome--delicious homemade goodies. Accommodations are comfortable, welcoming, and clean. A safe and nice neighborhood. A great deal and would stay again if in the area!

  • We had a fabulous stay and will most definitely be back! We were greeted with wine and freshly baked brownies and chatted like old friends. In the morning we were served an amazing breakfast (with mimosas and the most amazing french toast and Woodford peaches..yum!). The bed was comfortable and the house was gorgeous. Greta the dog was the sweetest! Thanks again, Cori and Joe for welcoming us into your home and providing such a relaxing mini getaway. (They are conveniently located to hit the bourbon trail, by the way!)

  • Cori accepted us the same day as we put in our request. She had information on a good place to go eat when we got there (El Nopal. It was AMAZING). During our stay we felt very comfortable. The house is beautiful and the hosts are great people (especially Gretta). I'd definitely stay here again.

  • Cori, Joe, and Greta were the perfect hosts. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and felt right at home. My little guy instantly was attached to Greta, their little dog, and had a blast. Had great conversation with Joe and shared a similar love for cars. Cori, despite her cheese head up bringing,(hehe) was not only fun to jaw with, (Bears fans here), but also a phenomenal cook. Had just a small sample of her creations and was awestruck with her take on what otherwise be simple dishes. Very creative to say the least. This, coming from a foodie. The bedroom was comfortable and the 'man cave' was impressive. Overall a really awesome experience was had at Casa de Barimo. Thanks guys!!

  • After sending a request to Cori last minute, she still accepted it which I am grateful. Meeting Cori and Greta at the door was a welcoming experience. Greta coming right up to you and making friends and Cori with her friendly and welcoming manner into her beautiful home. Meeting her husband was an experience because he too was welcoming, but also a great conversationalist and funny. Throughout the stay, I not only enjoyed Cori and Joe friendly hosting, but also Cori's baked goods and the comfortable bed. I look forward to staying with Cori, Joe, and Greta next time I am in the Louisville area if I am able to get a room because they are popular!

  • Cori and Joe were FANTASTIC hosts! We literally couldn't have asked for a better stay. Despite her Wisconsin heritage, Cori invited my boyfriend, Kyle and I to watch the OSU vs Wisconsin football game with her and Joe. As Kyle and I ran into their home still dressed in wedding attire...Cori and Joe welcomed us with warm smiles, drinks, and Greta the dog!

Beyond the very entertaining conversation over the game and a delicious homemade breakfast...the bed, man cave, and all other aspects of the home were perfect! We would gladly visit them again!

Hi, I'm Cori Barimo, and welcome to our profile. My husband, Dr. Joe Barimo, and I moved to Louisville in August 2010 from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. When Joe & I are traveling, we rent out our entire home to groups looking for a great place to stay while in the area. When we are home, Joe & I open our place to travelers through Airbnb. I love to cook and bake, and have a small catering business. Joe is a Director at Spalding University and is building a new Doctorate of Education in Executive Leadership. We have our pup, Greta who is a service dog and works primarily in the nursing homes with demensia and behavioral therapy residents. Joe & I love hosting and meeting wonderful people through this site!
