Interaction with guests
I am very helpful when asked to be and also friendly, but know when to step back and give space. Everyone is different, and some people want to just relax in their room, but some want to come out and have a glass of wine or tea and chat and I totally understand that. My children are curious about their world so they may ask about what country our guest is from, etc., but other than that and introducing themselves they are good at picking up social cues and engage in conversation when it's befitting :)
Other things to note
*Deposit fee will always be returned by Airbnb immediately after checkout. In three years I have been hosting through Airbnb, I have never asked for it and never had a guest who had issues with that
*Before making a reservation, kindly check your airbnb profile:
Does it have a photo and a few verifications? I provided such and would appreciate the same.
*Please note that I consider a child as an additional guest
*If you are arriving early to NYC and need a place to store your luggage before my check in time, consider Shwartz Travel Luggage Storage, they are very cheap and have convenient Manhattan locations, so you can explore Manhattan before checking in :)
*There are also several coffee shops within a few blocks from where you can access and WiFi and wait if necessary

I am a 37 year old liberal mama to two awesome kids, Valentina and Lucien (ages 11 & 12) and part of our little family are two (super shy) cats. We like meeting new people in general and especially from different cultures! We are LGBT friendly, open-minded and curious about the world and I teach the same to my kids. We look forward to meeting and hosting like minded folks from all around the globe at our home :)
