Interaction with Guests
I am very helpful when asked to be and also friendly, but know when to step back and give space. Everyone is different, and some people want to just relax in their room, but some want to come out and have a glass of wine or tea and chat and I totally understand that. My children are curious about their world so they may ask about what country our guest is from, etc., but other than that and introducing themselves they are good at picking up social cues and engage in conversation when it's befitting :)
*Bushwick is a mixture of a working class neighborhood and an artistic community in New York City borough of Brooklyn. *Bushwick is surrounded by Williamsburg, Ridgewood and Bed Stuy
*Dozens of art studios and galleries are scattered throughout the neighborhood and continue on growing as "gentrification" undergoes in Bushwick and artists continue to move in from Williamsburg and Manhattan
*Traffic is pretty quite here compared to Manhattan, but it is still not the suburbs and people do like their music around here
*There is a convenience store, variety store, supermarket and a laundromat all within 1/2-2 blocks from me.
*Variety of dining options within walking distance (please see my full guide to restaurants, bars and etc.)
*There is free (no meters) street parking on my block and surrounding blocks
*3 1/2 blocks from the L train, off the Halsey stop or Wilson stop, equal distance. The L is NYC's MOST CONVENIENT TRAIN (SUBWAY)
*The L line goes east to west all through Manhattan and transfers you to just about any train
*Williamsburg is 10 minutes away by train and Manhattan is 20 minutes.
*The B20 bus stops on my block (it goes into Ridgewood in a few minutes as well as Bed Stuy)
*It is an average of a 20 MINUTE car/taxi ride from LaGuardia and JFK, but a bit longer and more expensive by taxi from Newark airport to my place
*The East River Ferry in Williamsburg is a gorgeous way to get around Manhattan and Brooklyn too.

Deanna was great! Very kind and the room was quite comfortable. It is located just around the corner from the L train and made exploring Brooklyn and the rest of New York very easy. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
It was very easy and comfortable staying with Deanna.
As my flight was delayed, I arrived just before midnight, which was not at all a problem! Also I was able to leave my luggage and pick it up after the agreed check-out time which was very helpful, with regard to my late evening departure.
The separate bathroom was a nice add-on to a cozy, light room. The flat is close to public transportation (10 min walk) and Manhattan is easily reached with the L-train in no time. Also well-connected to JFK airport. Deannas place is well situated to discover Williamsburg and Brooklyn. Would recommend it to anyone!
Staying at Deanna's apartment was great. The room was clean, we had fresh towels and everything what you need in the bathroom. We came late at night, but we didn't have any problems with transportation or entry to the apartment. The neighbourhood is quiet. Unfortunately, we didn't meet Deanna in person because we stayed only one night at her place, and she left home in the morning, but we can admit that she is a very neat, hospitable and reliable person. We will be glad to stay at Deanna's place once again and recommend it to other people. Thank you very much, Deanna!
Staying with Deanna last night was easy. My wife and I had planned an event in Brooklyn, so Deanna's place was pretty convenient to that via the L and C trains. The apartment itself was nice and clean enough. It was quiet and there were two kitties running around that we barely saw. Can't really beat the stay and the neighborhood for the price we paid just to sleep. Deanna had bagels and spreads available for us as well, although we opted to try a small breakfast place down the street instead. Upon our arrival, Deanna asked a bit about my wife and me and made recommendations of where to visit based on that. So sweet. We'd definitely consider booking with her again.
I stayed with Deanna for 2 nights during the Bushwick Open Studios weekend. The neighborhood was quite, but i felt pretty safe coming and going at odd hours. I had plenty of privacy, and Deanna made sure i had everything i needed for my stay. She was very hospitable and nice, and so were her kids. She was very responsive, and accommodating of my late arrival. I recommend her place as a good base for exploring the area.
deanna and her children are very kind and nice.I was a bit earlier then my check in time but her children let me to the house and also treated me with love.Room is clean and well organised as shown in the pictures ,she perovided us with clean and good toilitories and towels.location is very nice and approachable .two stations wilson street and halsey street.
Area is safe.
There was everything in the fridge for break fast.
I would definitely staying at deanna's place again and would strongly recommend it.
Thanks deanna for providing me such a nice accommodation.
Deanna was great!! She was very nice and made us feel like we were at home.
About the Host, Deanna
I am a 35 year old dream weaver, Bjork loving culinary adventuress, pen handler, part time camera toting nanny-nette, netflix addict (drama, thrillers, indie, foreign are all genres I like, but I can take or leave Hollywood romantic comedies), liberal single mama to two precocious and awesome kids, Valentina and Lucien (ages 9 & 10) and part of our little family is a little (super shy) cat, fortunately he doesn't really shed, and hasn't been a problem to friends who are typically allergic to cats.
I like meeting new people in general and especially from different cultures, LGBT friendly, open-minded and curious about the world, I teach the same to my kids... We look forward to meeting and hosting folks from around the globe at our home :)
