  • Very cool house with more monkeys crawling around it than you can handle!

  • Jungle Villa was a great surprise to my friend and I. We knew the property looked special from the photos on Airbnb but it wasn't until we arrived that we realized just how unique and wonderful this house really is. From the moment you walk through the front gate, it's like stepping into your own private jungle hideaway. This place is teeming with wildlife as well. Monkeys, lizards, birds and more. If you like being next door to nature, you're going to love this place. It's also centrally located and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. If you're looking for something different than your typical hotel experience, this place definitely deserves your consideration.

  • My friends and I had an amazing stay at JungleVilla! It's in a great location—just a few minutes' drive from the beach and national park, very close to a lot of restaurants, and many of the locals we met knew JungleVilla by name. Our room was super clean and had tons of of space for the five of us to stretch out, and there was maid service and a change of clean towels every day. The common area is very large and relaxing and looks out onto the pool, and we even saw a bunch of monkeys come into the common area one morning! It was a great place to just hang out and take in the surroundings (and check email, if you do that sort of thing in Costa Rica ... haha). It's hot in JungleVilla, as it is everywhere in Manuel Antonio, but you can get a lovely breeze sitting out in the common area and there's A/C if you want it. Ad, the owner, is very friendly, accomodating, and helpful—he checked multiple times to make sure we were comfortable, and gave us lots of advice about everything from going to the beach to seeing wild animals to driving at night back to San Jose. He even graciously let us use the outdoor shower the night after we checked out so we could rinse off before heading to the airport, and saw us off and wished us a good journey. Overall we found JungleVilla very comfortable and welcoming, with incredibly lush surroundings, and were very sad to leave on our last day.

    Response from Ad:

Angela, it was a real pleasure to host you and your friends in the beautiful Jungle Villa. I know you had a great time in Manuel Antonio. Guests are indeed always surprised they can also in the jungle reply their emails and message as anywhere else on this planet.
We love to see you coming back to Costa Rica. Don't let us wait too long!

  • We had such a wonderful time with Ad at Jungle Villa! Four of us stayed in the Big Room and had plenty of space. Cleaning service came through daily to make beds and empty waste pails. We saw large groups of Squirrel Monkeys and White-Faced Monkeys and had the opportunity to feed them fruit. Ad was very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed his company very much. The villa is located across the Byblos Hotel. We miss it there already!

  • Beautiful jungle villa! We really enjoyed our short time there. Be ready for the jungle! Air conditioning by request

  • We loved our stay at the JungleVilla. Adrian made us feel welcomed right away. Great location and an awesome view of the jungle and ocean. Like other reviews yes it is a hard spot to find. We took a taxi and had to ask several locals where the place was because there is no sign. But other than that its an awesome place. There is a huge open kitchen and the common areas are decorated really well. Its close to restaurants and food markets. I would definitely recommend!

  • What a wonderful time we had at the Jungle Villa! We saw more wildlife there than any other place we visited. Ad was a very good host. it was so exciting to hear the jungle at night time. Accommodations were pleasing. We originally booked just 2 days there, we liked it so much we booked 2 more days!

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Jungle Villa in Manuel Antonio! We will go back again. Ad was very helpful and kind. I especially loved hearing the Howler Monkey's in the early morning.

  • Staying at Jungle Villa really was a pleasure. The team is welcoming and and really available. Ad gave me a lot of information before I came. The place is really lovely. Unfortunately, I did spend enough time to make the most of it. It is at 30 min walk and 5min drive from the beach and Manuel Antonio Park. A lot of places to eat around there and a super market not so far.
The place is a little hidden. When you take the little street in front of Byblos in Manuel, it will be right on your left. A little gate lost behind a wall of trees. There is no sign and you have to ring the bell.
You should be able to go to the park or quepos with a 500 colonnes collective taxi ride and even less with the bus. Count between 1500 and 3000 for non collective.
