Jean Sebastien is an absolutely wonderful host. When I arrived he was at the gate to welcome me and then helped me to get settled in and comfortable with the surrounding area. His home is a beautiful old house in a great non-tourist area of Paris but within the city so everything is easily accessible. It takes only a minute to walk to the metro from his home and it's on a line that takes you into the heart of Paris. The bedroom I stayed in was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower had great hot water. This was my first time in Paris and staying here made definitely helped to make my trip perfect. Thank you!
It was brilliant staying with JeanSeb! He is a perfect host and the house is lovely.
Jean Sebastien and his beautiful girlfriend are first rate hosts; they are both very kind and generous and fun - as well as very considerate of their guests. The house is beautiful and unique; a very comfortable place to stay. It is in a sweet, non-touristic neighborhood very close to metro.
Rooms are clean and cozy. It is a place where you can easily have your own private space, or have great company when you want;
whether it be the hosts or sometimes other guests who are staying there. Can't say enough good things. Highly recommended.
Great location and great host! Still thank you Jean Sébastien for everything!
Very clean, well located in the 20th arrondissement. Ideal for a genuine experience. I highly recommend the place. Jean Seb is a great host, very responsive and always keen to give good tips.
I stayed in Jean's house for 7 days. It is a very beautiful and comfortable space. I had a lot of writing to do the first couple of days, which is the last thing I wanted to do in Paris, and my room and the surroundings were comfortable enough to make my task bearable. I love the fact his house is close to the birth place of Edith Piaf, close to the Metro and cafes. Jean was a low key and very good host and we had photography in common. I would highly recommend the Lovely House with Garden.
I cannot begin to describe how wonderful staying with Jean Seb and Cecile (and Bob!) was.
In the 6 weeks that I stayed with them, I was made to feel completely at home; I really feel that I have met very special people, and made lifelong friends. I can't recommend this house enough; if you want to stay in a friendly, beautiful home with a warm atmosphere and fantastic people in Paris, this is the place to be.
The house is easy to find, and Jean Seb was very helpful, giving me directions from the airport. It is a beautiful house, with plenty of space for everyone to have there own space, but also with rooms to sit together and get to know your hosts and other guests. It is also very close to the metro station, from which you can get to the centre of Paris very easily and quickly.
From the minute I walked through the door, Jean Seb helped me to negotiate my way around Paris, giving me so many recommendations and so much advice, as well as helping me solve any problems I had...he and his wonderful girlfriend Cecile did so much to make my time with them relaxed and easy.
I would recommend this home to anyone who was thinking of staying in Paris- in fact, I recommended it to my mum, who stayed with me for a long weekend and also had an amazing time here- because I cannot think of a single thing that could have been better. This place is AMAZING. I only wish I was still there...
great apartment. jean was very accomodating and gave me some good sightseeing tips. i didn't need to interact with anyone unless i wanted to and could come and go as i pleased. bob the dog was very friendly as well. the house is a little out of the way but easy to get to by metro. it takes about 30 minutes to get downtown and an hour or so to get to the airport (by metro). the only problem with the location is that a nearby plaza/stairway seems to be a popular late night hangout for drinking and music playing till 2 or 3 all nights of the week. so if you are a light sleeper it might not be good for you.
The house has a nice historical charm with a modern feel with the furniture and decor. Everything is clean and accessible. The room was quite spacious - larger than single hotel rooms I've seen. Jean Sebastian was a very nice host: friendly, warm, and helpful. If you're looking for a crash pad in Paris in a neighborhood populated with more residents and tourists, I would recommend JSeb's house. I would stay there again.
A wonderfully helpful and accommodating host especially since I arrived a day early. His lovely girlfriend made up a cozy bed in another part of his home until my room was available. I enjoyed Jean's easygoing, simple, and eclectic lifestyle. His home is a comfortable, old classic in a NW Paris neighborhood within a couple of blocks of the bus, Metro, Tram which connects to all of Paris. Returning to Jean's home is on my travel plans for another trip to Paris.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
